After hearing him bash the pac-10 as being a lower level conference and with inferior talent when compared to the "power" conferences, I decided to check into a few things.
(said this at half of ill-iowa)
Since the 1998 draft, more players were drafted coming out of the Pac-10, than any other of the big six conference.
Pac-10: 38 players taken in seven years (average of 5.43 per draft)
ACC: 35 players taken in seven years (average of 5.00 per draft)
Big East: 29 players taken in seven years (average of 4.14 per draft)
Big Ten: 29 players taken in seven years (average of 4.14 per draft)
Big 12: 26 players taken in seven years (average of 4.14 per draft)
SEC: 25 players taken in seven years (average of 3.57 per draft)
Pretty weak and inferior...apparently the NBA realized there is basketball played out on the west coast....too bad the talking heads of college basketball have no clue.
