I am surprised non of my fair and balanced guys posted any links to stories about this guy. He may be the guy that helped Bush "decide" he wasn't gay! :mj07:
Anyway, what do you Neocons feel about this guy being planted in the White House Press?

The Right aint gonna touch this one (JEFF Gannon by the way). If it was a Bush basher who used bogus press credentials, fake name, and got passed security - YOU BETTER BELIEVE they'd be up in arms.

...the gay escort thing is just a bonus. Who really cares what this guy did in the past - but man is that funny! Of course Hannity and his a-hole friends would be all over the depravity of the Left if this guy was anti-Bush.

Too freakin funny. I'd like to hear one moderate Republican admit that this is embarrassing. Just one....

Thanks for the correction smurphy. It just goes to show to what extent the Neocons have taken over control of the media. We have Fox news all over Chris Rock but they won't touch this one. Disgusting

Have to admit I never heard of Gannon before this thread and after doing google search I understand why--only major news pubs reporting on in through 2 pages of Gooogle search were Washington Post and NYT. Here was leading story from post for anyone interested--that like me read little on either with exception of their weekly retractions--I get most their headlines when I read Algezeera ;)

I am not sure what Dogs is trying to say. Is the Times at fault somehow at fault for reporting this? Typical Neocon crap.

So this guy lobs a few softball questions to the president....geez, is that all you left-wing loonies got?

Englishman - if it were just a matter of softball/leading questions then of course your right. That's not the point.

This guy used a fake name, bogus press credentials, and somehow managed to fool what is supposed to be top notch security.

If it were a Lefty who did that, the Right/Fox would be all over this - "what a travesty", "look what these liberals resort to", etc etc. And then upon discovery that he was affiliated with gay escort services - oh the outrage would be deafening.

Just one admission of embarrassment, that's all I ask. Nothing to fear - again no elections for a long time. You've won everything, there's nothing to fear with just one simple honest statement.

Don't you love the way the "liberal media" covered up the Clinton BJ thing?

Neocon? Damn, boy, aren't you one prejudice mother****er. Everybody you disagree with is a ****ing neocon. I'd rather be a neocon than a flaming fag commie, any day. Hell, and I don't even know what a neocon really is! Shit word came out of the blue!.... But I'm glad it pisses off you wimpies. And as long as it ain't something poliically correct, I'm for it.

By the way what's this story about? No time to read. :)

And you Bush bashers can say all you want. I might join you. Guy's pissing me off lately with all this PC bullcrap and Mr. Nice-guy. Let's blow up some countries, dammitt!!! What are we waiting for?

Seriously, Stevie, I'm just trying to piss you off. So I apologize beforehand for the un-PC demeanor. I love seeing centrist people lose their cool.. kinda like Nick Douglas the last few months :mj07:

This forum has gotten too boring. The left hasn't done anything except throw little firecracker every few days. Utterly depressing. :wall: <--- Eddie & friends

Nosigar I am not pi$$ed off at all by you. If someone is a Neocon they should be proud. Delusional yes, but proud. Truth is Nosigar we can't afford to blow up the countries we should be. I dunno what is PC and what is not PC to be honest with you.

I read an posted article from Wasahing Post and I fail to see any thing that is big deal. It was refreshing to find something in Post for a change that wasn't quotes from un-named sources.

After looking up neocon definition I think that it is quite appropriate tag for me anywy. Thank you Stevie :)

1. neoconservative, neocon -- (a conservative who subscribes to neoconservativism)

1. neoconservativism -- (an approach to politics or theology that represents a return to a traditional point of view (in contrast to more liberal or radical schools of thought of the 1960s))

Hey, no problem here identifying my self as a neo-con. Let me tell you what it means in realspeak:

Proud to live in America

Proud of what this country had done since it's birth

Proud to hell of the incredible acheivements of this country in making the world the best place it's ever been

And just ****ing thrilled that the libs who seek to undermine America at every turn are in such deep disarray.

I love this country, democracy and capitalism, and I'm not afraid to say it.

Hey, you liberals....do you have any idea what the world was like before the US emerged as the only Superpower in 1990??

So what is Gannon's crime?

He worked for the Talon News Service, which is run by a Republican operative who also runs GOPUSA. He reported for Talon from the White House, where he was granted a daily press pass (not a permanent pass, which requires a background check.)

He asked President Bush at a press conference a question that dared criticize Democrats for being "divorced from reality." Now ... I agree that the question was improperly phrased. The phrase "divorced from reality" is a judgment and did not belong in the question.

I dare say however that if that question had been the other way around and posed by a recognized and accepted leftist the error would have gone unnoticed. Since most members of the White House press corps are liberal Democrats and the question was asked by a conservative Republican, something has to be done.

There had to be some kind of story behind Gannon's question...surely he was planted there by Karl Rove! So the leftist blogs went to work "exposing" Gannon, whose real name turned out to be Guckert. As if that alone means anything because we all know Jeff Gannon is the first and only person in the history of journalism to not use his real name. Right?

And so now the latest is that Mr. Guckert had a previous life as a gay prostitute. This was before he got into journalism. By the way, didn't we read something several years ago about some gay prostitute using Barney Frank's home as a base of operations?

No? you don't think it had anything to do with the fact that Frank is a liberal Democrat, do you?

Your right. It's all good.

How much would Fox be talking about this if Guckert were a lefty? It's funny how quiet they are about a gay prostitute using shady credentials to ask Bush a leading question in a press conference. Typically, all the Right wing news agencies would be all over something like this - but I guess it's just a coincidence that that they are silent about this particular one.

As I said, I don't care what life this guys has/had. I just find it very funny.

I see he lied about his name and still got past a security check. I wonder how that happened.
