On the course!
Hoops regular season is winding down, and the Conf Tournies will be going off soon.

How many of you guys take off of work on some of those days, for a full day of betting and drinking?

I know I love to have off for opening Thur/Fri of the "big dance".

Anyone else getting that "fever pitch"?

I have taken off the last 6 years. Hit the sports bars with a few buds. Only bad thing is I'm away from the puter. I have run a Game for about the last 15 years. Here's the Hi-lights. Also run a Final Four squares Game. Who cares what your numbers are! Yeah right, Best time of the year.

MARCH MADNESS LUCK OF THE DRAW

$40.00 PER TEAM
16 TEAMS = $640.00

EACH PLAYER WILL RECEIVE 1 TEAM FROM EACH CORNER OF THE BRACKET

THERE WILL BE FOUR SEPARATE DRAWS FOR EACH CORNER

AFTER EACH DRAW, TEAMS WILL BE POSTED ON THE BOARD

TEAMS (4) LOSING BY THE MOST POINTS IN FIRST ROUND, ONE FROM EACH CORNER RECEIVES $15.00 = $60.00

TEAM WHO HAS THE HIGHEST SEED NUMBERS WILL RECEIVE = $15.00
(ADD THE SEED NUMBERS TOGETHER)

FIRST TEAM OUT OF TOURNAMENT RECEIVES = $15.00
(WILL BE DECIDED BY TIME POSTED ON NET IF NEEDED)

A RE-DRAW FROM THE SWEET 16, EACH PARTICIPATE RECEIVES ONE TEAM FROM SWEET 16, WINNER OF TOURNEY RECEIVES = $50.00

EACH TEAM MAKING THE SWEET 16 RECEIVES $5.00 = $80.00

EACH TEAM MAKING THE ELITE 8 RECEIVES $15.00 = $120.00

EACH TEAM MAKING THE FINAL 4 RECEIVES $20.00 = $80.00

THE LOSER OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECEIVES $70.00 = $70.00

THE WINNER OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECEIVES $150.00 = $150.00

TOTAL $640.00

I am in Vegas every year. Me and about 10 other buddies. What a weekend. Betting and drinking all day, and well, betting and drinking all night. I guess I pretty much just like to bet and drink.

I haven't missed one televised tournament game in the last 3 years :scared

Well my wife didn't forget that either :cursin:

So this year will be on a cruise from March 19 to March 30 :sadwave:

I guess all good things must end so I will be cruising and boozing :mj14:

yea its the best.taking the first 2 days off for sure.probably more.also we do a 12 man draft 100 bucks each 12 players.draft any player in tourny.go by points scored by each player.when one of your players loses your down to 11 man team and so on.so you want high scorers from teams you think will go far.pays 800 300 100 for 3rd.lots of stradagy and fun.

I just log in from work and place bets at my sportsbook. Don't have a tv, but do have dual 21" monitors, you be amazed at how many games you can get in the monitor

As much as I like sports and the NCAA tourney, I've never thought to take off. I work at night, so I just get less sleep. I save my days off to chase the turkeys, deer, and ducks.

I will be "Down Under" this year and unable to run a pool for the first time in 13 years. Thanks to the internet I will still be competing but I will definitely miss watching the early-round games with my feet up and a cold one in hand...
