I havn't played this yet but I seen the line at -1 or someone said pick.

This is what I have found so far.

And that is that Duke owns Ga Tech. It goes way back. And that game when Ga Tech won in Cameran, Dukies havn't forgot about that.

Coach K is great at cursing the refs and getting away with it. The officials are intimidated enough not to call a technical foul, so then it carries over
in the games too. thats a plus.

Elder is back but not 100% and had cramps in the last game. Duke will give him a few groin pulls.

Ga Tech will have to bring their A game to this party. Or Tech candles are going to get blown out.

Duke is heading to March Madness and they almost always go in like a lion so to speak.

The line is not right. It should be Duke -5 but
I would have to say the books want us to think Georgia Tech has a chance.

I am still looking at this but my initial reaction to this game is that Georgia Tech has a chance to win and thats no chance.

Classic example of vegas knowing the squares and casual bettors like to play on duke. Line should be gt by 4. Duke has played a monster sched the last two weeks. They will get wrecked tomorrow.

Duke has played a monster schedule last two weeks. They are on top of their game. Can't say the same about Ga Tech in last two weeks.

Duke catching a inferior team at the right time to take them to the woodshed and beat them up some.

Duke intimidates the hell out of Ga Tech.
Always have.

Duke losing three road games is not setting well with Coach K. I think that has been a big topic of discussion coming into this game at Alexander Stadium.

I have done all the capping but I dont have time to post it. I got to make this play now to win.

I got to think that this game will be -2 by tommorrow.

And this game may end up being close. And in a close game
Advantage Duke to hit the winner.

Riddick on fire last game.

He may shoot the lights out in this game again.

I said in another thread that I saw a weakness in the Duke team last game. But it is not a weakness that can be exploited in this game.

They may not be as good as some past years, but they are good enough to beat Ga Tech in this game.

Go Duke

I like G Tech, but this game could go either way so I'm not playing it. I bet the books have heavy one sided action on Duke, for this reason along with the hornets being at home I like G Tech. Believe me, GTech wins and the books will clean up. Would not surprise me to see duke -3 by tip off.

Against No. 7 Duke, which Tech plays tonight, Schenscher has had measurable success in the past two years. In their last meeting, an 82-65 Duke win on Feb. 5, Schenscher finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. In the past four games against the Blue Devils, Schenscher has averaged 12 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Tonight, he'll face a markedly different type of player, Duke's powerful, 6-9 Shelden Williams. Their contrasting styles ? and those between Schenscher and most centers in the ACC ? often place the Yellow Jackets big man in the rearview mirror of many observers.

Schenscher isn't overpowering. He dunks sporadically, a stark contrast to those like Wake Forest's Eric Williams and North Carolina's Sean May. Schenscher routinely changes shots and makes life difficult for smaller centers ? just ask Florida State's Alexander Johnson or Clemson's Sharrod Ford ? but he doesn't block everything that comes his way like Shelden Williams does.

"Whatever works," Schenscher said. "I've got my style. We both do what we need to do."

Schenscher is arguably the best passer of all the league's elite centers. He can score with both hands, particularly when using his hook shots. And he's rarely out of position defensively.

"He doesn't knock it down and scream," Hewitt said. "But Luke is a very good and very smart basketball player."

An underappreciated one, Hewitt argues.

The era of finesse and skilled centers might have passed. College basketball is run inside by power forward types manning the middle. The 7-footers already are in the NBA or in Europe.

Schenscher is not among the ACC leaders in points, blocks or offensive rebounds. But he is a cog in Tech's game plan. With the return of B.J. Elder, defenses are stretched, which might afford Schenscher more scoring opportunities in upcoming games.

"I wasn't trying to play up to anyone's expectations," Schenscher said. "With the style we play, anyone can have a big game. Personally, I think I've had a good season, but not as good as I would like it to be. My focus was on being consistent this year. I'm more consistent and not making as many mistakes."

Especially against Duke, when Schenscher has played some of his best games. The Blue Devils spread the floor, often leaving Williams and Schenscher alone inside to battle. It's a matchup Schenscher looks forward to.

It's strength against skill, with both having just enough of the other's strong suit to make it interesting.

"It's not a chess match," Hewitt said. "It's about the players. . . . Luke has been solid all year. Shelden Williams, Eric Williams, Sean May, they are all [darn] good centers. This guy is a [darn] good center, too."

Ga Tech would need Shaq tonight to make a differance.

GEORGIA TECH (15-8, 6-6)

For proof that it's often better to be lucky than good, we present the Yellow Jackets' game-winning play against Florida State. Stumbling out of bounds, point guard Jarrett Jack manages to fling the ball into play under the basket. The ball somehow lands in the hands of teammate B.J. Elder, who, with a four-tenths of a second left, is fouled (well, according to referee Jamie Luckie) as he goes up. Elder's two free throws give Tech a 76-75 win. "That's how it was drawn up," Jack said. "Fumble it out of bounds and throw it back to B.J."

Next: The Jackets host Duke Wednesday. A win probably makes Tech an NCAA lock.
...................................................................

there is that lock word.

Ga tech is luckier than they are good. Nuff said.

Duke will need help -- someone to beat both North Carolina and Wake Forest -- for the Blue Devils to have a shot at least a share of the ACC regular-season title. Duke has won six of the past eight-regular season crowns and could be playing for another one in the season finale at UNC if the Tar Heels and Deacons trip up.
