Can I get some input on this MSU/Wisky game?

Guys I am having a tough time not pulling the trigger on Wisky here +8. It looks a little too good to be true, but I don't see how the most overrated team in the country (MSU) should be laying that many points to a team that plays defense and controls tempo.

The most amazing thing about Michigan State is they havn't beat a ranked team all year. Yes, that's right. The alleged 12th best team in the nation hasn't beat a ranked team all year. Not to mention the Big 10 is awful this year sans Illiniois.

I don't get it...can I get some feedback?

normally im the first one to crack on the big 10 because like you said, its a bad conference. but i think michigan state is legit and has a chance to go deep into the ncaa tourney. as far as tonight's game goes, it wouldnt be a shocker to see msu win by 10+. they pretty much dominanted wisconsin in their own building a month or two ago and should have been the first team to end the badgers long home winning streak but the spartans blew a (going by memory here) 8 point lead in the final 2:00 and didnt score the rest of the gm. tough call. think mich state rolls actually. but dont have the nads to bet it because i have a great respect for bo ryan.

I am going to have a tough time penciling MSU to make it to anything more than the Sweet 16, and that is pushing it...I don't understand how you can play in a horrible conference, not beat a ranked team all year, and be 12th in the country. That screams overrated to me.

Wisconsin +8

Wisconsin hasn't played in over a week, so they have had plenty of time to prepare for this one, and should be well rested. Both teams play good defense and rebound well. I look for a fairly low scoring game that could go right down to the wire. I am taking the 8 points and hoping for a good effort from the Badgers.

WIS is good enough to play with anyone, inside / outside & great D + 4 tough seniors,that know what it takes. These guys had ILL by the short ones with 5 minutes to go. Think they show tonight.

I will take the Big Ten, vs. your Pac 10. One point for each team that makes the dance, and one point for each team that wins a game in the dance.
I have a nice Brand new Wisconsin hat that you can proudly wear if I lose. I will also switch to your ASU avatar for a month. Will you do the same? Hat(new) and avatar for a month. Looks like a friendly wager :mj14:

Thanks for the input Franky. Although I never said anything about the PAC 10...Unfortunately, although the PAC 10 is rated the second best in RPI, it looks like 3 teams are going to the dance. The PAC 10 doesn't have a team as strong as the Illini in the dance, so that would be dumb for me.

I am going to take the points tonight with a small wager on the ML.

P.S. Bryanz is right...........if anyone is planning on doing any handicapping for the tourney based upon the RPI, well just burn your cash in the fireplace now and get it over with :bigun:
