I don't care. . .call me a homer all you want. Arizona +5. . . play the ML hard. This is without question my largest play in a long time. . .

Washington does not play defense. . . they can shoot 50% for the game and that's fine. . . if they give up 25+ free throws to Arizona, the Cats win. The Huskies do not play defense. . . saw it in the first matchup and again against ASU on Thursday. Seen it multiple times. . . the Huskies are as fast as Arizona, no question and they will get their fast break opportunities but they fail to get back and play both ends of the court. Arizona is one of the best free throw teams in the country and should win and cover this line from the free throw line.

Best of luck

Nickel,

I'm not trying to bash by any means, and just want to give you another perspective before you go splashing large dollars on the ML. Arizona may very well win, but if you take the mutual opponents of each team ie Utah,Ucla,Oregon,Oregon St,Washington St,Arizona St,Usc,California and Stanford and consider when Arizona was on the road and Washington was at home. You get the following averages.
HTML:
                       Arizona Wash
 Offense PTS 83.3 84.14
 Defense PTS allowed 75.33 64.42
 Offensive Turnovers	15.0 13.14
 Turnovers Forced	14.16 20.42
 Off Shooting Perc	49.33 47.14
 Def Shooting Perc	47.68 41.86
 Personal Fouls Commit	18.66 19.28
 Times Fouled 17.5 17.42
 Free Throws Att	20.16 22.57
 Free Throws Made	15.83 16.00

Now I'm well aware that these are only numbers but as you can see they are pretty even except for one thing and that is the advantage of Washington and their defense. I haven't watched alot of PAC 10 games this year, and I'm sure you're much more knowledgeable on the conference than I'll ever be, but for what it's worth I'll have a few on Washington tomorrow, and I'm sure you'll be on the other side, so just take a closer look and best of luck.

be careful with this one bud.wash has revenge on there mind after blowing there last meeting after contoling most of the game.not to mention this same group beat zona 3 times last season.wash is 14-0 at home this season, and just think zona runs into a buzzsaw tommorow afternoon.i respect your opinion, and will probably downsize my wash play because of that,we realy read this game completly different.thanks for your thoughts and gl,one of us will cash.check out st.johns also.think its a great spot for duke letdown.

Good Luck Nickelback. I hope you win. But to make this game your Game Of The Year is a little questionable. There are much more Favorable match-ups through out the year. But then again. Maybe you see something I can't. I wish you all the luck in this game.

Over 5000 games in a season and you pick as a GOY your favorite team on the road in the biggest game of the year? It may or may not win, but that just isnt wise handicapping and just doesnt make any sense?

Good luck with the play Nickel, but I don't know, man. Washington was running right through Zona in the first game (and dominated them last season with most of the same players back from both teams), until the refs started sending Zona to the foul-line every possession.

I dont see Zona getting 38 points from the charity strip again. Huskies only shot 39% from the field that game, but still led most of the way. Also dominated the boards, getting 17 offensive rebounds.

This was Washington's biggest game of the year at home before they lost at Zona, now after feeling they got jobbed by the refs in that meeting, this game has taken on even more focus for them...I think Zona might be in for a whupping.

I see you're getting a lot of support NB. :mj07:

Go get 'em and I hope it comes through for you.

Maybe I'll play Washington just to help out your play. :)

FWIW Nickelback, I believe that you are right
on the money here. This is a classic contrarian
play. The consensus is obvious on Wash.....
So there you have it. Arizona wins SU.

Sun Tzu,

If you're gonna call me out after watching me win all season by indicating that it isn't a wise play, that's fine. . . don't you think I already knew this was coming? On the surface it doesn't look like a great play but I would rather make a huge play on two teams that I know quite well vs. simply plugging the numbers in and coming up with a play such as system plays and others. So in that respect, I feel it is the most wise play that I can come up with but I'm sure you choose to continue to believe it is a questionable play even if they beat the Huskies bad.

Hoops,

Lets take a closer look at the first meeting: Yes, Washington only shot 39% and yes they outrebounded Arizona but I think its because nearly half their shots (34 out of 70) were three point attempts! A missed three pointer is much easier for the offensive team to rebound then a missted two pointer (at least I think most would agree with me on that). The truth is that Arizona's inside presense and quickness was huge against Washington. . . this explains why Arizona only took 9 threes the entire game and got to the free throw line so many times. You can say it was a home job when Arizona got to the line 40 times but look at what happened on Thursday against ASU on their home floor: ASU got to the line line 32 times ON THE ROAD. . . how often does that happen? The Huskies are quick offensively but they don't move their feet on defense. . . I have noticed it the entire season. Arizona has vastly improved in this area since last season which is why they were able to pull out wins at Marquette and Washington State despite those teams playing styles that the Cats are not used to.

I realize again this looks questionable especially when I am a big Arizona fan but at the same time, I know this team and its not like I have bet on Arizona every game or even most of their games this season. I pick and choose their spots and this is a pretty good spot when Arizona should get to the line on the Huskies' floor

SEC Guru, don't let me talk you out of a play on Washington. . . if you like the Huskies then you should play them. This thread isn't about changing other capper's plays if they feel strong about the other side.

But I'll still take the wrap for it as well if it happens to lose. . . there's something that SOME cappers need to realize that post here: when I have lost big plays, I have felt worse for others that may have lost money then myself. I don't post game of the years or revenge of the year or whatever unless I really believe it is that strong of a play. I'm not out to lose people money and I'm not out to ever start my own service. I am merely here to help others out whether they choose to follow my plays or not.

I think most believe this to be true but felt it was worth mentioning again. . .

gl nickelback ... I thought line should be 2-3, surprised its 5 and will root for UW on my season bet--Im not a homer, and am realistic, this is damn tuff game to cap; UR right tho, UW plays crappy D but that crowd could be worth 10pts today unless Zona gets out to big lead ... that place is noisy and prob most rabid fans in league right now--Bennett flipped off the students a couple weeks ago, they are idiots and embarrassing.

take care
