ALABAMA -2 1/2.......$200.......battle of the SEC leaders comes to tuscaloosa. Crimson Tide have won 13 straight at home. Alabama has shot over 50% in 14 of its 26 games and have held oppts under 40% in 11 games. If the game comes down to 3 point shooting, the Crimson tide wil have the edge, shooting 39% to KU's 32%. The Wildcats are concerned about the status of their own freshman guard, Rajon Rondo, the SEC leader in steals. Rondo suffered a rib injury in the second half of the Wildcats? win over Auburn on Wednesday. X-rays of the rib were negative, but Wildcat coach Tubby Smith said that Rondo would be evaluated on a daily basis until game time. Both coaches are concerned about their teams' recent rebounding troubles. The Wildcats have been outrebounded in six of their last seven games.

The Tide wasn't done in by the tip-in so much than it was inability to bang the boards with LSU. The Tigers dominated in rebounding 46-27, including a 16-4 advantage on the offensive side. Alabama's rebounding struggles have been more recent, though the Tide is still one of the top teams in the league in that category.

"Earlier, I thought we were a tremendous rebounding team and then we just haven't done as well," Gottfried said. "We have to improve in that area."

OHIO -2........$200........Ohio takes a two-game winning streak into Huntington Saturday night at 7 p.m. when it faces Marshall for the final time in the Mid-American Conference regular season. The Bobcats defeated the Thundering Herd 77-68 when the teams met Jan. 9 in Athens. Ohio U is 6-3 ATS on the road this year, 14-6 overall, while the Herd boast a 3-6 ATS at home and 9-14 ATS overall. Ohio (15-9, 9-6) is coming off a 68-65 win over Eastern Michigan at The Convo. The Bobcats led by as many as 17 during the contest, but needed a a late spurt to survive the Eagles. Jeremy Fears scored a career-best 17 points to lead Ohio, which broke a 57-57 tie with four straight points. Marshall (5-19, 2-13) lost for the third straight time, 68-55, to Buffalo. It was also the Herd?s nine loss in 11 games. Its one of those games, that one team is going in one direction and the other team in another. Head Coach Tim O?Shea stands 5-2 all-time against Marshall, the most wins over any team during his four-year career. He is 2-1 in three games against the Herd in Huntington.
