PITTSBURGH +5........$200......I do have to admit the Panthers are in a tough spot here losing 3 in a row, but if they want to make the NCAA tourney, they have go to win here tonight. During the three-game losing slide, Pitt is shooting 23.9 percent from 3-point range (11 for 46). The Panthers shot a season-low 18 percent (4 for 22) in Saturday's 73-64 loss to Connecticut

Senior Forward C. Troutman: "There's a sense of urgency," Troutman said. "We just have to finish off the rest of these games. We have to do it any way possible. I know a win is due. I'm happy to go up there and play them on the road. I feel like we play better on the road sometimes. We have three losses in a row. We have to win the next one."

If they are going to beat the Eagles, it will have to behind the arc. BC is letting oppts shoot, 43% from 3 point range, their last 5 game. 5 games in which they went 3-2. 10 of their victories have come by six points or less -- but they usually find ways to win games, thanks to 6-foot-7 forwards Craig Smith (17.8 points, 8.5 rebounds) and Jared Dudley (16.5, 7.6).

Pitt is 4-1 ATS the last 5 and they have gone 3-1, their last 4 visits to BC.

NEW MEXICO +2..........$200.....Lobos enter this game 13-6-2 ATS and are 21-6 overall this year. Clearly being away from their home state has killed them, going 4-5 on the season, but they are 5-2-1 ATS away. These 2 teams met earlier in the year at the Pit, with UNM winnning by 4. What killed the Rebels that games, was the persistance of UNM's defense. They forced 22 turnovers, with 12 of those being steals.

Bolstered by last Monday's 65-54 upset win over 13th-ranked Utah, the Lobos enter Monday's game having won seven of eight since senior All-America candidate Danny Granger returned to the lineup Jan. 29 against UNLV in Albuquerque. How important is Granger to UNM? The Lobos are 21-3 when he plays (8-1 in MWC games), the only losses coming at Oregon, at home to 5th-ranked Wake Forest and at Wyoming. However, New Mexico was 0-3 with him out of the lineup. UNM has lost just once since Dec. 22 with Granger playing, a record of 11-1.

Danny Granger continues to be the only player in NCAA Div. I basketball who is averaging at least 18 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists a game...here's how Granger ranks in the conference and nationally through Feb. 26.

Good luck tonight

KDogg thanks for the New Mex write up today....The NM defense is indeed very disciplined. I loved 'em today but loved 'em even more after your post.
