Now I hate every big time republican out there except our president :mj07: and McCain but the Dems in my party are pissing me off. The Social Security issue that the president is trying to fix is the right issue right now. It needs to be fixed and he has the balls to do it. The only people who are against it are babyboomers. The dems and repubs against the pres here are just trying to disagree for arguments sake.

It reminds me when the repubs went against Bill C no matter what he wanted to do.

Partisan shit sucks.

Well if you join the Republicans you'll have to deal with the same partisan bullsh1t. Only difference is you'll be on the winning side of a lot more issues.

Time for the "Centrist" party to get going. I'll join.

with the way politics have been going for the past 20 years or so, i'm surprised there isn't more talk of a 3rd party.

clem you should become an independent like me....this way you don't get any junk mail from either the dems or the reps.or they don't bother you during the primaries.

i dont see the point in being an independent

you get shut out of the primaries and have much less of a say

i would rather have clem be a vocal democrat and tell y our party you are sick of this garbage and to get to work on a plan that isn't such a scam as is social security

as a republican i will stick to telling them to get rid of it altogether but they need to at least change the stupid thing

these liberal socialists think they have to control everyone and they dont want to give up any power they have withi SS

unfortunately when Clinton and Gore ran the party things were different....they at least had the sense to recognize the problem....

now with Dean, Kennedy, and Kerry in control all you get is defeatism and opposition to anything....daschle started this BS and it continues on

its a losing formula and the more they lose the more they wrap their arms around the formula

WELCOME CLEM!!!

Just think about who the Democrat leaders are nowadays and it shouldn't be hard to make the switch.

Howard Dean
Ted Kennedy
John Kerry
Nancy Pelosi
Barbara Boxer
Michael Moore
Moveon.org :mj07:

But you know what....I wouldn't have it any other way. They are only running their own party down the toilet and I think it's funnier than hell!

No wonder they lost the election.
I'd be embarressed to be a democrat in today's day and age. All these people do is whine, bitch, complain, cry and point fingers. They act like a bunch of crybabies who got their toys taken away. THEY NEVER OFFER ANY SOLUTIONS and eveyone knows it. Now that the nation has spoken and they elected Bush, the democrats will do anything in their power to undermind the American voters, the troops and the United States and it's policies. It's so unpatriotic, unproductive and flat out pathetic. You never hear the liberals lashing out at the terrorists, instead they lash out at our elected leaders.

You don't need that crap Clem, seriously. It's a no-brainer. You need to love and support your country...not drag it down out of spite, jealously, rage and narrow-minded stupidity.

Clem,

Maybe Rush Limbaugh will share some Vicodin with you if you switch parties as a welcome present. Clem go Independent, both these parties suck and have worthless leaders, the time is coming for a party that is in the center. When our choices for President our between Bush and Kerry then you know our country is in trouble!

Thanks for the logic there master but simply saying "both sides suck" offers about the worst and least amount of valuable input that I could ever imagine giving to someone who is on the fence about this.
Rush Limbaugh's pain killer addiction is your best argument???...once again you solidify my statement regarding worthless leftist finger-pointing.

Never any logic or solutions from the left Clem...I think you know this though. Only fingerpointing and whining. That's also pretty articulate of you to say our president is "worthless" MAstercapper. Goddamn Bush is REAGANESQUE!! How in the hell can you knock this guy for the effort he has put forth to fight terror and protect your ass.

So far Bush has liberated 50,000,000 people from oppressive tyrants in likes of Adolf Hitler. After the 1st World Trade Center bombing Clinton fired like 2 peashooter missles into an Afghan Taliban training camp then turned around and went home.....

Bush is spreading freedom and democracy throughout the world and using an iron fist to do it. Deny it all you want it's happening. Liberals are freaking out because they see one of the greatest leaders of our time changing the world....for the better. FREEDOM. DEMOCRACY. :)

The dominoes of democracy are falling all over Eastern Europe and the MidEast!!!

REAGANESQUE

Just remeber 8 days before the elections in Iraq John Kerry condemned them and said there's no way they could happen and they would not be legit.

Iraqis were threatened with death and beheading if they voted....RESULT?---
they had a higher voter turnout percentage than we did.

I don't think there is a thing wrong with being a dem, the prob is the left has stolen their party with fanatic groups like move.org.
The Dems used to pull 80% out of household with union member--in 04 they pull a measely 59% out of that area. They hit higher % (61%) out of those making $15,000.
Their extreme base has gotton stronger but their moderates are sliding right.

Clem,

Ignore these doomsayers, meet me in the middle thats where the future lies my friend! Don't be fooled be these Right Wing fanatics that have destroyed a great party that at one point freed the slaves and turned it into a hate machine that backs a President whom SUCKS and LIES! It's time you left the DEM side Clem, the party is just as screwed up as the Republicans and has no future! The middle is where the future lies, it's where problems will be solved and great plans will be constructed, you know the time has come for a change when a large country as ours can only give us a choice of two terrible choices in Bush and Kerry whom are both not fit to hold the Mayors office in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Both parties have been hijacked by greed, big business and corruption and they will never ever recover from the damage that has been done, the days of great party leaders like Lincoln, Kennedy, Roosevelt are over until we meet in the center, until that time we will be left with clowns like Bush and kerry that would struggle to rule the Water Buffalo's Lodge,

Clem, you are joining the Repubs even though you don't like any of them except Bush and McCain? And the issue you pick is SS when it was the Republicans who refused to fix it when Clinton wanted to. How does the President plan on getting the money to fix this. With such a large deficit already, and not putting the cost of the war in it I would like to see him explain it first.

if i make 50 G's / year

employer and i pay about 12G's in SS

12G * 45 years == 500 G +/-

add interest to that and it becomes a fraction of what you could have had for retirement

but no Clem, don't let them BS you about the SS system...everything is fine and dandy....couldn't be better

after all, it is a "risky scheme" to let you do what you want with your money

and it is a great deal for the government to tell you waht to do with your money

Good point Dr.

also, your congress people like the SS system so much they opted out of it decades ago in favor of a much better system, guaranteed massive pensions better than anything outside of Enron....all paid for by us and they pay no SS.

In other words, they think SS is OK for us, but they certainly don't want it!!!!

Welcome Clem.

Back to SS again...? OK, this sucks but this is how I feel ....I'm with Freeze on this one damnit! I say scrap the whole damn thing! Let each person save or squander as they see fit.

As for the GOP though -----I could never join your ranks unless you started thinking more environmental and less fundamental. ...I aint sayin the Dems are doing all the proper things, but they are not as basically oposed to my thinking in these areas as the Republican party is at this time. ....And they need to be more pro-labor for me too. NOT MORE HANDOUTS - but higher minimum wages and more about FAIR trade than just FREE trade.
