I would agree with Edward that he is for our troops--would not even consider he wasn't--and I think he would think differently on handling terrorist had he ever been in service.

Here is where most in military differ from liberals.

During the Viet Nam conflict their were many U.S. prisoners of war. The common practice of Vietnamese was in 1st few days torture prisoners for military stragetic info after about a week of that the torture continued during captivity in effort to have them renouce the U.S.--the war tactics of U.S.--the U.S. president -ect.
Oneof the most painful among tactics was to tie arms behind back and hang from rafter till shoulders were pulled from sockets.
Despite all the months and years of torture few gave them the propaganda they wanted.
Now what could be so important to the soilder NOT to give in despite torture--and so meaningless to the liberal side to voluntarily rant-- protest ect the very BS that the soilder would not.

I have completely missed your point about torture/Viet Nam and liberals. As a centrist, slight leaning progressive, I am completely against this war which has killed over 1500 Americans. We shouldn't be talking about torture, Wayne.

Those 1500 and the 100's of thousands of troops that are there now should be back in their respective, slums, ghettos, lower class neighborhoods and reserve units where they belong. Not fighting a war for no apparent reason.

Wayne, having served in Southeast Asia in the last bs war, you of all people should know better. 30 + years after we left Viet Nam with over 50,000 dead, look at Viet Nam today. Did we win that war? Did we accomplish our goal of preventing South Viet Nam from becoming communistic?

You know the answer. I'm afraid we will have the same result in the Middle East. Let's for once, use our brains instead of our muscle. Lets for once be honest with the American people and state the real reason we invaded this country and the innocents were killed.

Don't you think your president owes the families of those killed, murdered, maimed and injured an explanation that the only reason to invade this country was to stabilize the oil rich middle east. Stabilization of this part of the world is critical to western countries but, the methodology is criminal.

Wayne, the bottom line is I should be screaming at you that insurance companies are raping the consumers and you should be screaming at me that lawyers and frivolous lawsuits are the cause of all that is wrong with the world.

We should not be talking about torture, torture methodology, beheadings, and the deaths of thousands of people. If there is a God, your president will have to answer those questions. One last point on God, I know you've heard this before but I gots to ask it anyway.

If Jesus was alive today, do you think he would be a democrat or a republican? Please answer. You may not say independent, but which party line do you think his teachings would most closely mirror.
