On the course!
Wouldn't it be great if every pitcher in the league decided to walk Bonds every at bat from now on?

He would go nuts!

He would never get another home run, and would be stuck on 703 forever. No need to worry about him breaking any records, and tarnishing the game any further.

Of course, that will never happen...........

I thought about that, but then you risk a big fight in the game. No.......just walk him, and watch him implode!

I wanted them to do that when he was chasing 70. I remember when he was on either 69 or 70, the Astros (I think) just refused to pitch to him for an entire series. I think he had like one or two official at-bats in the entire series. I was hoping others would follow suit, but alas, they did not.

People need to throw at him. He stands on top of the plate. That is how he can use that shorter and lighter bat too. If he got knocked back some there would be a big difference in his production.

the only thing that bothers me about bonds is his constant references to the media not liking hom because he is black..... this gets old. people do not like him because he is an @sshole. aving said that - i love to watch bonds hit, and i will continue to watch him get hr's. regardless of the drugs - he is one of theh greatest hitters ever. to see so few good pitches,be walked constantly, and be the constant center of attention has to be distracting, but he continues to achieve outstanding results. i don't want to hear about the drugs because athletes have been doing them for years. it is bad , and it may not be fair. they are a part of sports and will probably always be. they have been in football forever, and probably been in baseball a lot longer than people think.

no one even seems to give a $hit that mcgwire probably did them to. (i personally loved mcgwire- especially when he was in st. louis.

In my opinion, he is very fortunate to be playing in this era. If he played in the 50's, pitchers of the likes of Sal "The Barber" (ask me how he got this nickname) Maglie would have breezed his stuck up chin really good. In the 60's, he wouldn't have lasted a game against Don Drysdale (add to the fact he is a Giant & Drysdale a Dodger). And if you think it's racial, see how far Bonds would dig in against Bob Gibson. Different game entirely today, tho.........pitchers are for the most part, wusses, even in the AL, where they don't bat.
