Anybody that knows these 2 teams care to give any advice.
I know St. Mary's is the better team on the season, but two things jump out at me.
1. The WCC tourney is being played at Santa Clara.
2. The two teams played twice this year.
Santa Clara won 65-42 @ St. Mary's,
then Santa Clara won 78-76 on 2/11 @ home.

My question then becomes this:
Does Santa Clara pose some sort of matchup problems for St. Mary's?
And why is St. Mary's the 3 point favorite in this game.
I think Santa Clara should be 3 point favs since it is in their gym.

Just read an interesting stat...In 2002 and 2003 Santa Clara won both regular season matchups and St. Mary's won the conference tourney game...will the trend continue?

I dont believe those tourneys were held at Santa Clara.I know one was at USD and I think the other was at Pepperdine.

I do agree with others that this should be a low scoring affair.
My play is 100 on Santa Clara(+140)
75 on the UNDER 141.
GL all

I played St Clara (strictly coatailing gman)

here is some info I found elsewhere

The day has been all about upsets today and with Santa Clara playing at home. Why Not?

Santa Clara beat N.C. by double digits and i don't care if it was with Felton or not, or early in the season. THEY BEAT CAROLINA BY DD!

Santa Clara also beat Stanford by 10 and lost at Pacific by only 6.

They lost at Arizona St by just 5 and only lost by 4 here at home against power house Gonzaga.

They are a much better team than their record.

They also beat St Mary's twice this year by 23 & 2 points. I know it's hard to do it 3 times in a season but at home with some obvious good match ups we have just as good a chance as any with the Home team here.

Now let's look a little closer at Santa Clara in addition to what xxx posted.

Lost to Central Connecticut State by 12 at home. (Central who?)
Lost to Yale by 6 at home
Lost to BYU(BYU is an incredibly lousy team)
Lost two out of their last 3 to two crappy teams(San Diego and San Francisco)
Their home record this year is a lousy 7-9

Regarding their 20 plus point win over St Mary's way back in January. St Mary's shot 26% from the field that night. Any team that shoots that bad will get blown out. They haven't shot near that bad in any other game.

GL on the game guys.
