Charlotte +6.5

LAKERS: 0-10 ats (Av. LOSS 6.1) on the road after a win in which Kobe takes 20+ shots. [since 4/4/03] (14-22 @ Dallas)

Does he hog it even more next game? Do his team mates work less to get the ball? Or does it just mean that he played a lot of minutes and so is tired in the next game?...Doesn't matter I guess, but they are 0-4 in this situation this season, shooting 38%, 39%, 39% and 40% in those games....Never good trying to cover a big road number, esp when you give up 101.7 ppg on the road.

LA have only won by more than this on the road 3 times all season!...And they had to shoot their arses off to do it. 53% @ NO win by 8. 55% (46.2% 3's) @ Sac win by 16 and 45.7% (but 16/35 3's @ 43%) @ Min win by 9.
These teams are all in the bottom 12 for 3% allowed....Charlotte are 16th, but allow the 5th lowest 3 point attempts @ 14.4 per game.

Charlotte have lost only 4 games at home all season by more than this...3 of those losses have been v. very strong defensive teams (Mia, Memphis and SA)...the 4th being Milwaukee who shot 55% and 7/11 3's!!

As I've already said, LA allow 100+ on the road, and shoot poorly in the Kobe situation.

To top it off, LA are 4-15 in the last 3 years as road fav of 3-6.5....0-2 this season....in fact they are just 1-5 this season anywhere when favoured by 5-7.
Charlotte are 11-5 at home v. >.500 teams, and they should rise to the occasion tonight, with everyone writing them off.
Don't worry, Kobe will find a way off keeping this one close ;)
