Virginia Tech is coming off a blowout loss in the ACC tourney to red-hot Georgia Tech, and now comes home for the NIT opener and faces a Temple team in turmoil. Coach John Chaney, after being suspended for almost a month, comes back to coach his Owls, maybe coaching for his job tonight. It is too bad, considering his team has absolutely no shot tonight. The way I look it is what conferences do these two teams come from - Temple from the A-10, and V Tech from the ACC. I think I'll take the ACC everyday of the week over the A-10. V Tech up 20 at the half wins by 25.
Missouri is a dismal 0-5 ATS this year at home as a favorite of three and a half to six points, and faces a Depaul team that can win on the road. The Tigers from Mizzou seem to be clicking of late, but do not have the overall resume that allows me to back them tonight, even at home. Depaul should have been in the tournament, playing teams like Louisville and Charlotte very tight this year. They will win at Missouri tonight.
