Alabama A&M +6.5 over Oakland: This game may cause the selection committee to rethink having play in games. It should be ugly and the winner gets the honor of a severe beating at the hands of the Tarheels. Oakland had a nice conference tournament run but is not good enough to lay this many in tournament game.

Boston College -5.5 over Penn: BC has too many athletes for Penn to keep this close. Unfortunately for Penn, these athletes will be well rested, too. Craig Smith will have a field day inside. BC is tired of hearing how they are overrated and will take the Quakers to the woodshed.

Texas Tech -3.5 over UCLA: Tech not getting much respect against a Bruin team that I'm not sure belongs in the tourney. Knight has this team playing well and will have them focused to make a run at the Sweet 16.

Oklahoma St./SE La. under 125.5: They couldn't break 50 against NW St. so how many can they score against Oklahoma St.? With a spread of 18 this score projects to be 72-54. SE La. will struggle to get to 45 and OSU will call off the dogs before getting to 70.

Alabama/UWM under 141: This line is a little too high based on UWM going over the number in three of its last four games. But, one of those games was against Loyola who force you to score because they refuse to guard you. Another was against Cleveland St. who had just lost Omari and had pretty much packed it in for the year. The third was a bracket buster against Hawaii. As gman has pointed out, non-conference late season games don't have a whole lot of defense being played. UWM knows they have to control the tempo against Bama. Alabama will not force the issue and their defense should keep the score in the 60's.

Wednesday NIT

Wednesday NIT

Boston U +9 over Georgetown: In a game that will be in the low 50's, this is too big of a number for Georgetown to cover. Their offense consists of passing the ball on the perimeter until someone discovers that the shot clock is down to 7 and then firing a three or making a wild drive to the basket. Add to this that BU holds opponents to around 36% FG shooting and 28% from 3. I don't think BU can win the game SU because they don't shoot the 3 well enough, but the Hoyas aren't going to win by double-digits.

ORU +10 over Maryland: This line should be around 6 but we're getting 10 because of the ACC. As long as Oral Roberts has shaken of the effects of the stunning loss to Oakland in the conference tourney, they will make a game of this. The Terrapins motivation should be low and they will struggle to cover this number in what should be a high scoring affair.

Adding:

Adding:

Villanova/UNM under 141.5 and Villanova -5.5 over UNM: Defense will be the priority in this game. Both teams have kept their opponents shooting a low percentage this year and that should be the case here. Villanova will pull away in the second as they wear down UNM on the boards.

Two more:

Two more:

Sparty -8 over ODU: Sparty has had a week to listen to Izzo rant about their last game and will take it out on ODU. MSU will pound ODU on the boards and muscle their way to a double-digit victory.

Vermont/Syracuse under 139: Vermont gets one appearance on TV and becomes a public darling. Granted, they are a solid team but they will get guarded tonight. Neither team is outstanding shooting the ball. Syracuse will get a solid 70-58 win.

Kansas -7.5 (first half) over Bucknell: The Jayhawks have seen enough scores from the other games (UConn, Illinois) to come out firing. Bucknell may close the gap in the second half but Kansas will roll to a big first half lead.
