Preface my comments by saying UWM is a nice story. Cinderallas get to the sweet sixteen but very rarely advance a whole lot further. some do, nc st., kent last year a few others....
but then they fade into oblivion. Illinois has won plenty of games this year by double digits, but I've seen a lot of them and they rarely run up the score. They just play their game and it so happens that they win by a bundle. Weber is a "good guy" coach and he just cares about winning, not necessarily the score IMO.
But on the other side of the coin, a story you might have forgotten, but will certainly here more of as thursday approaches is the utter hatred for Bruce Pearl that the entire ILLINOIS administation has. It goes back to the early '90s and in case you forgot has to do with Deon Thomas. I'll let you read the link below and decide for yourself. Granted the article does have an illiniois bias, but the facts presented are what happened back then and the u of i sports administration hasn't forgotten.

it's one thing to want to run up the score and another to actually do it. I think they have the talent to win by 10 or more. Hopefully this might add a little motivation. There are more reasons for this play, as I think u of i matches up really well with UWM, but this is just something else to consider.
