Yes wvu +2 is the play. They have been hot beating some good teams that noone gave them a chance. The consensus is texas tech but this is not the reason for the play. Wvu plays 10 deep and all 10 guys can score . U have Salley--statistcally there best player--can shoot and is very athletic--can finish around the rim. Gansby--mopst underated guard is very athletic and a great finisher--can also shoot the 3---did not play this good early in the year. Pittsnogle--the big man--purely and outside shooter---the pt guard-4get his name right now--makes excellent descions.really gaining confidence from the outside, early in the year struggled from 3 but now has found his stroke. Then u have Herber---athletic guy that can get to the rim, excellent rebounder, and can light it as well. Belien off the bench--a assasain from the outside, heady player. Fischer--an athletic big body that brings a shot blocker on d and can really shoot the ball too. 86 peercent freethrow shooter. Wvu a great free-throw shooting team and 3 pt shooting team runs a great offense looking for backdoors. I hear all this talk about Bobby Knight, and he is a great coach;however, Belien head coach for wvu is a great coach as well. He has his boys playing basketball the way it was meant to play. Unselfishly, trying to get a good shot, and his boys execute in the half-court and patiently work the ball for good scoring oppurtunities. Defensively wvu runs a 1-3-1 defense. Why??? because wvu biggest weakness as a whole would be their defensive quickness and their inability to guard 1 on 1--this d always keeps the ball-handler in a v---with 2 guys coralling him not giving up the drive, this does open up 3 pt oppurtunites, but don't believe Tech has the personell to make it from behind the arc all night. I know i been talking about wvu a lot and failing to mention Tech's athletic perimeter players, but i just don't see this tech team being better than wake on the perimeter or inside. Tech struggled with Gonzaga--really felt the Zags lost the game at the line, failing to convert late in the game. Wvu won't miss, and feel wvu is head and shoulder above the Zags. Way deeper and a lot more skill as a whole. Don't get me wrong, i would pick up Morrison over any wvu player, but he is the only 1--Turiaf choked at the line. Wvu is 4 real and like the way the match up tonihgt. Believe we see this close deep bunch in the final four. Wvu +2----lean to under--both coaches will prepare, may start out slow.
