after the tech ft's the guy went back to the line and shot the second of his two fts for the shooting foul.

under what I guess is the old rule he would have shot the 2 techs, the one remaining ft, AND had the ball inbounds

now i get it. yes, the rule now is when a technical is called, the game stops, the technical fts are shot, and then the game resumes where it was when the technical was called.
