he almost came to our school, wanted too, but he lived in bremerton and took care of lil bro; his dad wanted him at Odea, our school, but it never worked out--believe it or not, marvin's team never made state and for career was never really above 50% for wins, weird maybe best player ever here but couldnt win in hs... all i ever heard was that marvin is greatest kid too, woulda loved to have coached him ...

martell webster is another great player, possibly nba bound this year, and he never went to state once either, played in our league--incredible range, 6'7 235

Seems odd ....dont kids like that usually dominate and carry a team? I remember when LaBradford Smith played at Bay City, Texas before going to L'Ville (but after he was driving his brand new Red sports car) I saw his team play in the state final four in Austin. They won the semi 47-45. LaBradford had 43.

weird, we have less "talent" in eyes of many but our kids play as a team (and have won state 3xs in 8 years now, two in a row)--webster had huge talent on his team thie year, another nba future player in 6'11 jr. Hawes, but they didnt mesh and didit even qualifyfor state; Marvin, i cant believe it, could never even get above .500 ... ur right tho, but often studs dont win it all, KG and Curry couldnt in ILL... so much is chemistry, look at WV just a sensational job by Beilein, he should hands down win coach of the year in some poll anyhow
