38 years old, never married, split from most recent girlfriend 6 months ago. Canadian and proud of it. :canada1
Born and raised in Toronto, but I've lived all over the country. Former radio announcer, I was an on-air jock in 3 different towns in eastern Canada (Charlottetown PEI, Owen Sound Ont, and Cornwall Ont), before relocating to western Canada to work in a radio newsroom in Vancouver BC in the mid/early 90's. Moved back to Ontario in '98...man I miss it out there! Best city in Canada in my opinion. Radio's a lot of fun, but the pay is shit unless you're a big name in a major market, so I finally laid that career to rest five years ago.
Currently spending my last few days in North America before heading to the British Isles for an extended stay. Heading for Ireland in 4 days for a couple weeks of vacation, then on to England, where I am hoping to land a position with a certain sportsbook. (Wish me luck!). I have wanted this for a long time, but was (and still am) really hesitant to give up all the comforts of Canada / North America. The downside is I'm finding it may be a bit of a battle to get hired in the UK without British roots or a UK / EU passport. I've got to convince them (and their government) I'm essential to their operation.
I love to travel. Been betting on sports for almost 10 years now, though it's almost exclusively NFL action for me now. Like visiting the casino, playing blackjack, etc. Also big on home theatre. It's going to be very hard to leave my home theatre behind if I do end up staying. Oh, and my family and friends too I guess.
