setting my goals high. not planning on losing an mlb game all year. 1-0 ytd. cant stop me!

chicago white sox (-120)

limited sample, but contreras has absolutely dominated the indians. saw both games he pitched against the tribe last year and he was unhittable. indians hitters just not seeing the ball well this series (3 runs in 2 games) and facing jose is the last thing they need. hate to make contreras out to be bob gibson, but hes sure as hell thrown like him against cleveland.

LOL Gl gman...I just hate betting on a team that has lost 2 in a row, but I agree completley that Contreras turned his game around since getting traded from the Yanks...I remember the game when his family came to see him pitch for the Sox, and he was LIGHTS OUT...cant remember numbers, but he showed he has the arsenal to cause damage in this league he just has not gotten the mental confidence to refine his heat...am gonna take a shot myself, gl bro

GL on your play. I like the Tribe in this one though. Jose did not have a good spring training at all. Sox really weren't hitting the ball well either until that last inning when Bullet Bob threw some wiffle balls up there. You like the over at all??

contreras is the ultimate pitching enigma. some of the best stuff in the entire league, but doesnt always bring his best game. remember seeing his splits against boston vs. the rest of the league. red sox have him mind fu.cked, but he has been awfully solid against the rest of the league. tribe couldnt touch him in either meeting last year. remember vividly the game in chicago when he went up against elarton on a sunday afternoon. cleveland was swingin at flies. i just think his past success against this lineup carries a bit more weight than his spring outings. but i could be dead wrong and he could get smashed tomorrow.

....thing is, indians arent smashing anything or anyone right now. as far as the total goes, im sure clevelanders and chicagoans alike are waiting for the breakout game between these two teams because there were some serious cle-chi slugfests at uscellular last year. but both offenses have been awful the first two games. lee and contreras are two pitchers that can be very erratic, so id certainly steer clear of the under. but just not seeing anything from either lineup that leads me to believe we'll see crooked numbers throughout the game on the scoreboard.

Yea i think I'll stay away. Jose your right can be dominant, but just a few weeks ago he was saying right now he doesn't trust his fastball. WTF is that suppose to mean?? We will see though, he may be more adapt to just getting the season started and this can be an good time against the Tribe.

Contreras was a great pickup when they first got him last year and they credited the turnaround to the fact that he was tipping his pitches when he was with the Yanks.

He then slowed down and I'm not sure why as my concentration went to football as I gave up on baseball in August last year.

I expect the entire Sox staff to start strong. Contreras will have his problems this year, but it won't be in April.

Good Luck!

thanks. baseball is a little different in that i can take solace in knowing that i capped the game right but just got bit in the ass by a fluke 3-home run 9th inning by cleveland. in hoops and football, i dont always believe in the 'capped it right but wrong side cashed'. but in baseball, yeah- got fu.cked on this one. but not gonna sweat it too much. hopefully ill catch a 9th inning rally at some point this season down the road
