Took a small play on the mets ov 7.5-110

Have some good pitching going but think mets will feel good about being home and swing the bats some for the home fans. Astros should be able to get a few runs also not a high number at all this early in the year and the way pens have been in baseball a few miscues or a walk and a few dinks and your over the 7.5 IMO

Fletcher, I notice you keep going against my guys (Pirates)in your comp plays. Do you see the team being weak in a particular area that warrants taking advantage of in a particular spot? I like the Bucs today even though Wells got spanked last time out. This series has been a visiting team play in the past years. Thanks for your insights.

Trust me they are my team also since I am from there, but they still are young and will be good again someday like they use to be from the 70's till 92 but the old dick head gm killed them about 5 years ago and spent so much money you have guys who just don't match up everyday with other teams and the sad part about it because of the money soon as one of the young guys keeps doing it and time to sign him we will lose him because it will take 4-5 more years of keeping pocket shut till they are ok with money again, and they keep signing these over the hill big name guys and jr house was a major bust should of stayed with fb, but look at the last 7 years old big names they brought in only 1 guy did the job and he wanted to stay and that was saunders and they let him go alos stairs would of hit 30 hr's at pnc if they kept him 1 more year, yes he makes some outs but he was made for that park need lh power. just see another sub 500 year for next few years and it is really sad.

one play was a under not a play against them but have played against them a few times I am up small against them had brewers every game, seems like they need to get rid of the chipmunk also he can't manage a team but hell they have no money to pay someone.

I am from the Burgh and this Pirate team scares me!! This might be one of the worst teams in a long team. Right now, they have nothing!! Bob Walk said Branyans HR was the longest he has ever seen!!!

Bob Walk is the worst announcer ever! I think they pay someone to kick him during the game just to stay awake. Then when he tries to be funny, it's like listening to a kindergarder telling a joke. I would rather listen to Myron Cope on 10 than Walk on 2 (that's a reference to the volume dial.)........

well, this thread is pretty depressing. I root from the heart for these guys and probably give myself false hope each year, but I know the truth. Bummer! :142crying I just can't bring myself to bet against them. Nice call today Fletcher :clap:

Pirate Fan, I go to 25 games a year. I root also from the heart!! This team to me, has no promise!!! I will still be a fan and love them but I am getting depressed already by their preformance. I am there Friday and Saturday night. I hope I can change their luck in a major way. No timely hitting and piss poor pitching from their top 2 starters. They are the future and given nothing so far. 0-4 in starts and that ERA has to be very. Maybe 6.5 or 7. What was McClendon thinking today, letting Wells bat, down 5-2 w/ a runner on 2nd and no outs. I like him but that was just flat out bad managing. But that is what you expect anymore from this organization. Pray for some good karma in the near future!! Take care.
