gotta love my ....

quote "investments". More like donations. Not only do I have the privilege of losing principal, I get the added joy of knowing that what remains is being eaten by the eroding dollar AND inflation all at once. Oh and lest I forget, teh eroding quality of teh few goods I can still afford to buy since they are cheezy Chinese imports.

What a life!

Isn't it good to be living the American Dream?

On the course!
I never worry about the market, because it always comes back around.

....and has your "quality of life", really been affected? Maybe if you were planning on liquidation some holdings, other than that.....I doubt it.

Keep your chin up.

I wouldn't worry about it unless this continues for the next couple of weeks. Everyone earlier blamed it the the rising prices of oil. Well, what now and what are we gonna blame the markets fall on? Oil has dropped from record highs of 57 dollars a barrel and now has dropped to 50, yet still causing a market drop in the Dow, Nasdaq, and S & P 500. My 401K has taken a pounding in the past couple of weeks, but IMO, the drop in the stocks are "emotional" selloffs and lurkers will probably start to make "stock steals" early to mid next week. Best of luck and I'm in accordance with yyz...They'll rally soon.

the market flashed technical sell indicators back in feburary, and each mini rally was never confirmed, meaning you should still have been in cash or sitting on a eroding profit (not loss) as the market weakens and gives individual stocks sell signals. or maybe you don't beleive in technical indicators and continue to bleed money. it'll be a new day tomorrow so good luck whateveryoudo.

"Looks like those tax cuts didn't work."

What the does tax cuts have to do with market flucuation??--you have to be from Boston to make such a silly statement.

At least with tax cut people keep more of their money to invest.
It served its purpose in halting recession inheirited from past admin--put home ownership and all time highs--interest rates all time lows--and unemployment figures better now than when he took office.

of course is one does not pay taxes and is on receiving end of those that do I could see them being a little pessamistic.

Right on DTB-- Unless you are a pessimist, one has to believe having that money in hand is better than not. Otherwise, we'd have the same market situation without the money
I'm sure if we were seeing a booming economy, we'd hear from a couple on here that only the wealthy is benefiting.
The next six months are lining up nicely.

Looks like the massacre is predicted to continue into this week.

Stock market is the most crooked casino in the world.

Which is okay as long as you go in with your eyes wide open and know when to run and say no to the latest scam.
