Foulke may get a rest
Winning pitcher Keith Foulke is expected to be rested tonight after having to throw 53 pitches to get through the final two innings last night. After the Sox broke a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the eighth, Foulke loaded the bases in the ninth before getting pinch-hitter Ruben Sierra to foul out.
``I'm just struggling right now,'' said Foulke (1-1). ``I can't find a groove and can't get comfortable out there. I've struggled plenty of times in my career but not too many times will I have trouble throwing strikes. I couldn't throw my change(up) all the way to the plate and I was throwing my curve high.'' Foulke insisted he'll be available to pitch tonight in the first of three games vs. the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Fenway Park.
``I got stretched out tonight and I wasn't throwing hard enough to actually hurt myself,'' he reasoned.
