Yes, there are no guarantees. However, right now Pinnacle has Rockies +149. I won a lot of money tonight on Kings so I won't be too upset if I am wrong on this. There should be heavy action tom. on Giants with J. Schmidt pitching. -150 or -160 will seem like a bargain price to many AND Giants winning yesterday helps. Game is also LATE in the day so there should be bets made all day and all those bettors who are looking for a solid favorite to get their money back will go with the Giants.
I did this this today with Red Sox against Devil Rays. I took Red Sox -175 knowing/predictiing heavy $$$ would be bet on Red Sox especially after beating NY and Wells pitching at home. I was right and then I took Tampa Bay +190.
$525 to win $300 Red Sox -175
$200 to win $380 Tampa Bay +190
Red Sox win = $100 profit
Tampa Bay win = $145 loss
So I had David Wells and Red Sox at -145 instead of -200. I actually jumped the gun, as I could have had Tampa Bay +194. Now I only did this because I liked the Red Sox to win today but I could have put more $$$ on Devil Rays and had lowered or made zero risk of losses. But the main thing is you have to be right about line movement. If no line moves, then you put yourself at risk of minor losses. If line moves against you, you really screwed yourself.
I have thousands of dollars to be rolled over in my Olympic account and I don't want to lose my bonus. So this is a relatively safe way of betting that easily could turn in a nice profit at minimal risk (provided the line doesn't move against me) and I roll over my account at the same time!!!
Rockies are +149 at Pinny, so if I see $$$ going on Rockies, I will immediately bet at Pinny on CO and take small loss if Rockies win. I am predicting that Rockies will be above +150 tom.
