"uber" is a term we neocons like to use...it harkens back to our roots in nazi,germany....

that....and i heard jackie mason use it once in a stand-up routine and it stuck with me...

do you guys really want the government to confiscate every persons firearms?

GW- just for clarification, you aren't addressing me with this, are you? If so, read my most recent post before this (No. 16). If not, carry on. Just wanted to check.

On the course!
the right to carry a gun only deters crime and criminals and we ought to have that right

I would think it would escalate crime. The criminal certainly isn't going to go get a real job, now that Joe Public might have a gun! The criminal might decide, "I will kill my victim first, to prevent from being a victim myself."

More guns, like more taxes, won't solve the problems we are facing.

HOUSTON (AP) ? With an assault weapon in each hand, rocker and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent urged National Rifle Association members to be "hardcore, radical extremists demanding the right to self defense."

Speaking at the NRA's annual convention Saturday, Nugent said each NRA member should try to enroll 10 new members over the next year and associate only with other members.

"Let's next year sit here and say, 'Holy smokes, the NRA has 40 million members now,'" he said. "No one is allowed at our barbecues unless they are an NRA member. Do that in your life."

Nugent sang and played a guitar painted with red and white stripes for the crowd at Houston's downtown convention center.

He drew the most cheers when he told gun owners they should never give up their right to bear arms and should use their guns to protect themselves if needed.

"Remember the Alamo! Shoot 'em!" he screamed to applause. "To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em."

Freeze..."no one else promotes more responsibiltiy with guns than the NRA"

Um....yep.

I just wish the NRA would worry more about game hunting then people hunting. Hell in Wisconsin they don't have enough to hunt they now want to shoot stray cats. I mean meow type cats. Not lions or tigers. I guess they got tired of shooting old cans and bottles. I some time wonder if some those guys even know the right end of a shotgun.

I can read a quote!! Sounds to me that Ted isn't being very responsible at all, now was he Freeze?

Tell me this (anyone, it's a serious question)...You have a gun(s) in your home for protection...Where do you keep them? What if you have kids, does the 'hiding' spot change? Is it locked up?
The reason I ask is because if the gun is for protection, how much time will you have to grab it and shoot the intruder?
Do you really need a semi automatic assult rifle to protect your home?

Oh, and yes, I do think it's ****ing hilarious that you've mentioned 'leftist media' after listening to Ted Nugent wanting to kill anyone who's eyes are too close together! :mj07:

PS...Aren't a lot of these NRA members good, loyal God worshipping Christians?...Seems to me breaking Commandment no. 6, no.3 (no doubt!), definately no. 4, and very likely 7 and 10 (at once), just so others Shalt not steal....
...Ahhh...the whacky old religious right ;)

how do you think you came to the conclusion that Ted Nugent is the spokesman the NRA? the dude gives a concert and just like the BS i have to listen to when i saw the Dixie Chicks or any other left wing group, they say crazy things (except in the former case the leftist media doesnt run these comments over and over ad nauseam...actually they do their best NOT to report them as we saw recently with Rock and the oscars)

and when he makes a satirical comment the media and left do nothing but run that over and over again?

you are wacked dude, i dont see how owning a gun, defending your family, and hunting play at all with the ten commandments...unless you are foolish enough to think that defending yourself is equivalent to murder...but then you are probably one of those Jane Fonda wackos on the street shouting at our troops calling them murderers too

FYI, a semi automatic rifle is necessary for defense against abuses of the government

like it or not, the only thing that ultimately holds the government at bay is the power of the people...and weaponry bestows that power

if you have any sense of American history, or want to educate yourselves, you can go back and read yourself on what the founders and writers of the constitution said about this matter

or you can continue to spew your ignorant rantings....and i may or may not attempt to educate you myself

Looks like its time for another Dr. Freeze History lesson :nono: :nono: :nono:

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."
George Washington

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
Thomas Jefferson

"Such are a well regulated militia, composed of the freeholders, citizen and husbandman, who take up arms to preserve their property, as individuals, and their rights as freemen."
"M.T. Cicero" 1788

"As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people duly before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms."
Tench Coxe, June 18, 1789

"The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that... it is their right and duty to be at all times armed."
Thomas Jefferson to John Cartwright, 1824

"The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops..."
Noah Webster, An Examination of The Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, Philadelphia 1787

Oh, good lord!

Not sure if you happened to catch the date on each of those 'history lessons' Freeze, but you might want a lesson of your own.

You see, America in the 17-1800's was a bit of a lawless place, where defending your honour and duals at 20 paces were considered public entertainment.....

...Look, I know a lot of people (most world leaders included) want the world we live in to be wound back 100 years, butr some of us actually see progress and 'enlightenment' (for want of a better word) as a good thing.

I'm not going to bother arguing, but if it makes you happy, then go ahead, carry a gun on your person at all times....Surely you're more likely to be attacked or assulted outside rather than inside your home.
Next time you get caught in the middle of a bar fight, pull out the ol' 6 shooter and clean those thugs up!
Next time you see an old lady get her hand bag snatched, no need to run after the guy, you're carrying a semi-automatic handgun.
And god help that nigger who dares enter your saloon! :cursin:

btw, I didn't ever say Ted Nugent was a spokeman for the NRA, but he was performing at an NRA 'rally', and given the rousing support from the crowd, I dare say you were the only one there who thought it was satirical! (Or even knew what it meant. lol!)

Dude, is it even possible? "Bone" is right. That's all she is - skin and bones. Bitch makes Calista Flockhart look like Sally Struthers.
