3 minutes to half but got to think cleveland will see jersey score and play a great second half. leaning to clev and under. jersey will try to run more and will get boston scrubs in 4th quarter. liking boston and the over.

watching cavs game and have to admit, this is probably the best ive seen them play all year. their sense of urgency is noticable. refs are calling way way too many fouls on both teams though. thats my only concern. cavs getting any shot they want on offense as the raptors are playing matador D. lebron is gonna have damn near a triple double at halftime

I think its quite impressive that Nets are only down 11pts despite Boston shooting LIGHTS out and mostly by 7 bench players. I be surprised if bench players for Boston shoot lights out in 4th quarter. Pierce is also having awesome game but he is only playing for less than quarter in 2h.

Nets IMO is the play in 2h. Unless you see bench players shooting lights out again in 2h.

Boston 10-14 3pt shots.

Just my 2cents

scott:

this is you trying to convince yourself of an abberation again. look at the numbers. boston hasnt even gotten to the line and theyre still up DD. nets shoot 22 FTs. boston 2. and nets still arent getting it done. i think there are gonna be a lot of people chasing the nets in the 2h. im not saying they wont make a push, but it might not be enough.

Boston shot 10-14 behind the arc. Will they do that again in 2h? FYI, it was BENCH players that were shooting lights out (except for Pierce). Nets are only down 11pts despite this crazy shooting by Boston bench players. I think probability wise, the Celtics don't shoot lights out again in 2h. Especially when everyone knows that the starters will be sitting for the 4th quarter for Celtics. NO pierce. Without Pierce in 2q, Boston be up only 4pts IMO. Pierce will not be playing the 4th quarter AND I don't think the Celtic BENCH players will shoot LIGHTS OUT again. Pretty hard to shoot lights out for 2 halves, especially if your BENCH players. Just my opinion. I strongly favor Nets to win this game because they are only down 11pts and No Pierce or Walker in 4th quarter. If I didn't have $$$ on ML I prob. POUND Nets 2h.

Lastly, everyone knows its easier to score in 1h vs 4th quarter. Lets see how these Celtic Bench players shoot in 4th quarter against a Nets defense playing for the playoffs. I like the Nets chances.

Nets cut it to 2pts and now down by 6pts. Looks like we got a ball game AND no starters for Celtics in 4th quarter! Advantage NETS!

Edit: Nets now only down 3pts in 3rd quarter. Doesn't mean Nets win the game but I was not trying to convince myself of an aberration. Too bad I didn't take my own advice and pound Nets 2h. If Nets are down 5pts or less start of 4th quarter, you gotta love Nets chances.

outcome has nothing to do with it.
just dont get why you think the world is coming off its axis if players on an nba bench knock down some shots. this isnt college. guys are in the league for a reason. there are no 'walk-ons'.

Show me the last time Celtics bench players shot like this? In addition to Paul Pierce playing GREAT in 1h. Thats what the Nets faced in 1h and I doubted the Nets see a repeat performance. Celtics shot 10-14 behind the arc in 1h. When was the last time that happened? WITH THE BENCH PLAYERS MAKING MOST OF THE TREYS!

But this is a reason not to bet BIG on single game, especially in hoops. But I ignore that logic! :)

let see.

paul pierce has five 3s. he's a franchise player.

antoine walker has one 3. he's only taken and made a billion in his career.

delonte west has 3. last i checked, st.joes was just about the best 3-pt shooting team in the nation two years ago.

and tony allen tossed in a 3 ball.

youre surprised? you kidding me?

looks like the nets might actually erase this 19 pt deficit.
but your point about the 3pt shooting was way off

your point about the 3pt shooting was way off

Halfway through 2h these 7 Celtic Bench Players accomplished this...........

West 3-4
Reed 1-2
Davis 2-2
Allen 1-1
Jefferson 1-1
Blount made at least 3shots
Banks I think made 1 shot

6 Celtic Bench players shot 50% or better in the 1h!!!!!! :scared Multiple Celtic BENCH players shot 100%!!! :scared

As a team, Boston shot 10-14 from treys, had super game from pierce (which isn't a big surprise but he did play better than his average) and the bench players for Celtics played OUTSTANDING!

I said that is not gonna happen in 2h and that Nets being down only 11 at half despite all that makes them a great 2h play. If I didn't have my ml wager I prob. would have pounded Nets -6.5 2h for 1k. Thats what I said in my 2h analysis and right now Nets are winning by 13pts going into the 4th quarter where they WON"T be seeing Pierce or Walker.

I guess those Celtic Bench players came down to reality. How did they shoot in the 3q? Certainly didn't shoot lights out like they did in 1h.

*Doesn't mean Nets gonna win this game, they still can lose, but things are going the way I "predicted."
