The most impressive school in this year's draft was obviously Auburn with 3 of the first 9 picks and 4 total in the first round.

Did any school have more than Georgia's 6 players drafted?

Miami, USC, and Auburn had 5 from the sheets I have seen.

Also, does anyone know where you can find an up to date (I guess as of end of last season) list of players on active rosters where you can filter/sort by school?

I believe that OU had 11 drafted and one Heisman Trophy winner going the free agent route. The Dallas Morning News had a breakdown by school from the draft. It was in yesterday's edition. I've thrown it away so I can't give you better details.

You're right, R&B. Thanks. ESPN.com doesn't have them ranked, but they do have OU at 11 players. That's sick!

OU and Auburn were both represented very well draft day. I liked seeing the great relationship between Brown and Williams. Very similar to USC's situation with Bush and White. My question is this.

Why the hell did Auburn give their coach a contract extension? Serious question. Auburn did go undefeated last year :clap: but with a weak schedule. They had some close games as well. Its obvious he had a lot of NFL talent on his team last year but it isn't like he is a top recruiter nationally. So why give him a big contract extension and increase his $$$. I am not sold on him. He is solid coach but not an elite coach.

Poor Stoops from OU. This guy had 10 players drafted and a heisman trophy winner and was DOMINATED in the OB against USC who only had 5 players drafted. USC also was starting and playing mostly freshman and sophomores in that game. How does OU with 10 drafted NFL players get dominated by underclassmen? YIKES!

Stoops also lost to LSU 2 years ago in Sugar Bowl and I beleive OU had ton players drafted that year as well. Although OU was not dominated by LSU but they still lost. Maybe it was because White was not healthy.

Maybe Stoops isn't a great coach but rather a GREAT recruiter. In his defense he lost both BCS NC games against Carroll and Saban.

Who is the biggest winner on draft day??? :shrug:

MATT CASSELL from USC. This guy has thrown only 20 passes in his career at USC and has been backup to 2 Heisman Trophy QB's. UNBELIEVABLE! I fell off my chair when I saw him getting drafted in 7th round. I know he had a terrific pro day came at USC where all the scouts came but come on. This guy was career backup at USC and barely played mop up duty. Matt Cassell ws the 3rd best QB on USC's team last year. He only was 2nd string because Booty redshirted.

What a recruiting tool this is for Pete Carroll. Come to USC, win National Championships, get a degree from a top academic University, even if you don't play you get drafted! WOW! The Patriots just gave the best recruiter in the country at the hottest program in the country more ammo to recruit players. :scared

I would have drafted Jason White over Matt Cassel. That sucks for White. Feel bad for him because he is classy guy. He should go the Kurt Warner route and play arena and go into NFL. Maybe Patriots think Cassell is the next Brady. Both have similar story lines in college.

To be honest, Cassell and Leinart were neck and neck 2 years ago battling for the starting job and many were surprised when Chow named Leinart the starting QB.

Scott, Tubby doesn't have to recruit nationwide like other schools do. Here are some examples in case you missed them Saturday.

Ronnie Brown - Cartersville GA
Carnell "Cadillac" Williams - Attala AL
Carlos Rogers - Augusta GA
Jason Campbell - Taylorsville MS

Why go out for burgers when you have steak at home?

I said top recruiter nationally meaning compared to all head coaches in div. 1a. Match up Auburns recruiting classes to everybody else. Doesn't matter where he gets his recruits, we just measuring talent. I don't think Tubby is a great recruiter and didn't deserve a contract extension and big raise.

2005= Auburn #13 recruiting class
2004= #31 recruiting class
2003= #11

He is a good recruiter but not a great recruiter. Lets see how he does without all these stud players he lost to NFL. Take USC as an example. USC lost Carson Palmer but replaced him with Leinart. When Leinart goes USC has Booty, Hinds, and Sanchez waiting and all 3 were elite high school QB's.

I just don't see it with Tubby at Auburn and I don't think he deserved the big raise and contract extension. Could be a one year wonder for Auburn. Many AU fans disliked Tubby's coaching prior and he almost got fired.

All in all, was this collection of great talent for Auburn a once in a blue moon thing or is it things to come under Tubby. I think the jury is still out and I wouldn't be so confident in him.

OU played KSU before LSU. KSU beat OU 35-7. LSU beat OU 21-14.

KSU beat OU by 28pts and LSU beat OU by 7pts.

OU had ZERO chance of beating KSU. OU had plenty of chances to beat LSU and it was a very close ball game. In fact, I remember OU being down by 7pts late in game and there was a wide open WR in end zone and JW never threw him the ball. Reason I know this is I had a bet on OU and JW was missing open WR's throughout the game. Pissed me off. JW played with an injury against LSU which prob. had something to do with his lack of production and the pass rush of LSU defense. Still doesn't say a whole lot for LSU when KSU beat this same team by 28pts and LSU only beat them by 7 and had to make crucial stops at end of game on defense to win. That is not domination. A win is a win and LSU won. They did not dominate OU.
