Worked well as Ochoa place 2 behind Annika and got credit for win--Park pull out of final rd while sitting just off pace to prevent good shot at double dip.
In addition to safeway data above only once when playing in same tourney in 04 with Annika absence did not at least 1 of them fail to finish top 5.

Outright plays (total stake per play: 1.5pts)

Hee-Won Han to win 20/1 e.w. @ available generally
Extremely consistent 2005 season so far, having yet to finish outside the top-20 in five starts and recording two top-5 places in the process. The absence of Annika Sorenstam means that odds are a little lower than usual, but this is still a good price for a player who contends regularly and has finished 6th and 11th in her last two visits.

Wendy Ward to win 22/1 e.w. @ Paddy Power
With finishes of 1st and 3rd - when she had been joint leader before the final round - since the resumption of the LPGA Tour, Ward is clearly the form horse in this field. She did fold on Sunday, but has shown in the past that she can put together a run of very high finishes and having finished 2nd here last year, this looks a very good opportunity to record a third consecutive top-3 finish at the very least.

Mi Hyun Kim to win 25/1 e.w. @ Victor Chandler
Kim is another with solid course form - 6th and 16th in her last two visits - and after struggling with her swing, she has clearly made significant progress in the last month. First, she was an early leader in the Nabisco Championship and hung on for a top-5 finish, and then in her next event, the Takefuji Classic, she was inside the top-5 until the very last round. If her game is finally returning, then she will again be a regular fixture in the top-5 of the leaderboard.

Matchup plays (3pts):

Lorie Kane to beat Laura Davies -130 @ Five Dimes
Despite this course hosting the Electolux USA Championship at the start of the decade, Davies didn't make her debut on this course until last year when she missed the cut. Kane on that occasion finished 11th and her finishes in the last month make much better reading that those of Davies who has trailed Kane on each occasion by a minimum of six shots. There is nothing to suggest that it should be anything different on this course.

Catriona Matthew to beat Laura Davies -118 @ Centrebet and SuperOdds
Fresh off a top-3 finish, Matthew looks to be far better prepared for this event in terms of form. She also missed the cut last year, but having finished 2nd on this course in 2001 she should be hopeful of continuing her form into this week. For Davies, she will be hoping to achieve her first top-20 finish of this LPGA Tour season.

Lorena Ochoa to beat Cristie Kerr -109 @ Expekt
Ochoa certainly underperformed again in her home country last week and the way that she responded from doing so in the MasterCard Classic last month was to virtually run away with the Safeway International. Well, from anyone except Annika Sorenstam who caught her in the final stretch. With a win on this course last year, she could well do the same this week. With Kerr also underperforming in her last event, but with the result being a finish of 55th rather than 16th, a repeat of last year's nine-shot loss to the Mexican looks far more likely than the other way around.

Outrights: FINAL RESULT: 0-3; -4.50pts

Han 18th
Ward 11th
Kim 43rd

Not a good weekend in this event. Both Han and Ward held the lead before the 2nd round was finished, but both finished a very long way behind Prammanasudh who was considered very closely as a pick, but would have been place-only anyway.

Matchups: FINAL RESULT: 2-0-1; +6.00pts

Kane/Davies TIED (push)
Matthew/Davies WON by 12
Ochoa/Kerr WON by 2

The ever-dependable LPGA Tour matchups ... once again they spared a loss on an event.
