Well my small pup plays did not do well but in baseball as in all sports need a mix or your just treading water or worse.

I hit these hard today hardest since i came back east took braves-127 and dodgers-140 little bigger on la but not much alos played them flat which i do a lot.

Good Luck time to go make my dads dinner and force him to eat, REALLY SUCKS MAKING A PARENT EAT WHEN THEY DON'T WANT TO BUT HAVE NO CHOICE.ALSO MORE STRESS THEN I THOUGHT DOING THIS ,hell must of hit caps but he is my dad and only living parent left and would give my life for him and that is no lie. Love him that much.

Hope your dad gets better. I know it is not fun. I went through that with my dad. And he was my only living parent too. I can relate.

I know this is not the place but I have to say something, my heart goes out to you and you DAD, Lost my Dad last june to cancer and the food thing is a bitch, sometimes putting food in front of a person with cancer makes the more nauseous, put small amounts at a time, and have your doctor try different meds to help him eat. If your lucky you will have many highs and have to endure the lows, The hardest thing you will have to do in your life is see your father not eat, but you still have him, and if he may go before you ,you will look back and be glad you did everything you did.

Good luck Fletch. Admire you for taking care of your father. I know the feeling all to well. Lost my Dad 10 years ago. Went through some of the same things that you mention. Give him a hug and tell him you love him. Sure wish I could do the same to my Dad one more time. Stll miss him to this day.

Don't want to sound flip here, but have you considered a little marijuana? My aunt passed from pancreatic 2 years ago, and it was the only thing that let her get a semblance of an appetite....

Some old school folk, would rather not smoke pot ( my aunt never did, but smoked cigs like a chimney) so she was a little open to the idea.... It did help..

thanks guys and bryanz adn bmaker, will try that try to get him to eat 5 times a day maybe 2 much at once. Meds are always changing , seems like chemo weeks really take it out of him. And he says nothing has a taste he is drinking mil shakes i make full of fruit and ensure and total fat ice cream, just some days he acts werid never like I have seen moody and things so just do my best and have made everything he loves and it takes time but no big deal but then lot goes to waste or to food kitchen for home less back here.

It has srunk the one but now found a small one in lung about size of thumb nail. Hell the one bag of 3 treatments of chemo starts with a r not going to go upstaris and look at the name is almost 18,000 per dose every 3 weeks or 15 days , has chemo then sees dr few days later after they draw blood and they do a mri or some scan to check size.

Does not smoke or drink unlike me he was always a healt freak hell i sould of gone 5-10 years ago with how i abused my body in the 20'sand 30's and a few times since. But great being with him and makes handicapping less stressful I know that might sound stupid but it does , might not win everyday never did but can see things clearer now maybe because I have a time limit and don't over cap.

I don't care what it takes he is a fighter and I would never pass him off to a home to handle he loves his house and friends been here 41 years so was going to move him to vegas but he has all hid friends here. So for now I will stay here till I know he is ok.

Thanks again to all will try and post games as I can and win just there might be a few days where I am mia due to other job and number 1 him.

Good Luck

Eric

Reggie brought that up 2 days ago, trust me I could get it no problem and he said hell i take enough meds already, told him it would make him relaxed and want to eat, it was weird asking my dad at 79 if he wanted to try a few hits of weed, don't think I would ever of ask him that in my life.

He knows all the juice and other stuff I put my body through so it was weird to ask him that hell he has lost 23 pounds since first chemo gained 8 back but it is slow to gain and meds clog him up which if you have not gone in a few days you would know how that feels and is on meds for that and these mouyh sores he gets after treatment bother his eating I am sure.

But came out and ask hin if he wanted to try it, old school did not care to much for it. I figured he did it in the war over seas and he said he never touched it or even seen it.
