I use 4000 psi concrete, 4 inches thick, and 1/2" rebar on 24"-30" centers
Minimum reinforcing for a 4" slab on grade per the ACI Code is #3 bars @ 18" o.c. each way. With reinforcing at 30" on center, the concrete will be much more suseptible to cracking especially in freezing climates. Proper subgrade preperation is also a key for any surface that will have vehicular traffic.

Thanks guys, but concrete won't work for me. Have a very long driveway and the end of it near the street has a good slope. I would also need to color it if it was concrete, so it would melt better in the winter. Sticking with asphalt though, thanks...
