As many here have played sports and gotten a knee to the thigh and know it hurts like hell, but how long were you out? Is there more wrong with Shaq than the Heat are letting on? Any opinions?

I think it was excellent strategy, especially as it became apparent to Miami after game 2 that it would be a walkover series, and a great time to heal your MVP. You can bet that if the Wizards had pulled out a game, Shaq would have been back in. If there is something else wrong, they had no reason to hide it. That big body takes a lot of pounding over the season, and it showed in last year's finals when he ran out of gas and was shut down by Detroit. Now, when they play the Pistons, he might be more energized.

you can get very severe thigh contusions; i once had one that i felt for 2 months--mostly cuz I ignored it in my 20s like a fool ... but with their medical acumen these days, I wonder if there's not much more to this story ... i mean i thought i heard it was both thighs? if so, thats fishy .... he has no zip in blocks now, I could def. see that b4 he went on shelf

The thing is that if they are just resting him then what is the reason he was moving so slow and really didnt do much when he was playing...........
