Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Monitor is going on the fritz :cursin:

Looks like I should get a flat screen, LCD probably? I have a 19" KDS Avitron now.
Does anyone know about the Monitors that can split the screen between a TV signal and the computer signal? Not sure what to spend on this, but looking for a great value. Somewhere under a grand though! Looks like I can get a Dell 17" or 19" LCD for around $300-350. What else is out there?

Thx,
Franky

I got a GEM GM-190B 19IN LCD BLACK monitor.

It is not top of the line, but works pretty good. If you look around the internet you can find it for about $250 after rebates. $250 for a flat screen 19in is pretty good IMO.

Jack - remove this if it is consider advertising...

When I was looking, I went to techbargains dot com. It is a website that list the specials/rebates for all the major stores and online stores also. You can usually find whatever computer stuff you are looking for there

I'm pretty sure that capability comes from the videocard in your computer and not your monitor.

Thanks for the info guys, will look into these.

Yes Simply,
I do have a video card right now installed for TV. The tuner works for crap. I thought I have seen the 16:9 Screens(monitors?) that can be cut into 1/2 or 1/3 for each signal, ie, internet connection, cable tv, and stock market real time displays. Was not sure how to go about this, thought some of the techies here would know what Im talkin about :)
I work for myself out of a home office and rely on the good people here to help me out with these ???'s
Anyone else can chime in, and thanks ahead of time.

From the Costco website:

Returns or Exchanges:
Costco guarantees your satisfaction with the merchandise you purchase from us. Costco.com products may be returned to any of our hundreds of Costco warehouses worldwide. Or, if you wish to return or exchange merchandise directly to costco.com, contact us at customer service.

Effective November 4th, 2002, Costco Wholesale?s desktop and notebook computer return policy is six-months from the date of purchase. After six-months from the date of purchase, all service and technical support will be subject to the applicable remaining manufacturers' warranty.

Funny story. I bought a HP printer from Costco, kept it for well over 2 years. HP then came out with this better, faster model. I did keep the box and receipt, so I packed it up and took it back. The clerk said what is the reason for your return. I said, it's slow. He gave me all my money back, in cash?? I walked over to the computer area and got the newer model. Not that funny but it jsut goes to show you, they'll take stuff back anytime for I guess any reason.
