being a bucks fan living in milwaukee my whole life, i am praying that they take marvin williams. don't get me wrong, i do think that bogut would be a fine selection, but i think the sky is the limit for williams. he is one of those freaks that come around every few years.
19-20 years old
6'9-6'10
lanky but unbelievably strong in the post
has the agility, quickness, court vision, and outside range of a guard
true team player in an age of basketball....
proven champion
strong family up bringing
intelligent, humble, kind, and classy
the type of kid you want to build a franchise around. great for the community.
absolutely love this kid

last time the bucks were in this situation they went with the easy #1 pick in the "big dog", a good player, but not a franchise player like jason kidd. i am afraid they may be kicking themselves in the ass again if they dont grab marvin williams.

of course this is just my opinion, i am very interested to see what they do, and would love to hear what the rest of you think.

Yeah I am. I really hope it makes my team compete next year. I watch most of their games on League Pass, and I actually want to feel like they have a chance when they face solid teams.

just my very humble opinion, but i simply dont get all the hype with marvin williams. there are 4 or 5 players id take in a heartbeat over him, yet from the beginning of basketball season all the way through march, all you heard was about williams being the consensus #1. id much rather have bogut. i just dont see superstar written on marvin williams. i could kinda tell magette was a star in the making even though he was 6th man at duke. of course, it can be debated whether or not magette is a bona fide star, or simply an exceptional player on a terrible team. i believe its the former, but thats me.

looking back at the '94 draft, its tough to say the bucks made a poor choice with robinson. what he did in college was incredible and i think he has had a nice career. and if you look at the list of players chosen, there was a huge dropoff after the 1st 3 picks (robinson, kidd, hill). its weird how kidd is considered (and rightfully so) a franchise point guard.... but nobody wants him for more than a few years.

in any event, im looking forward to this draft. it seems every year, people say its a terrible upcoming draft, and then there are always hidden gems.

again, jmo but id rather have either of williams two running mates (felton or mccants) before id draft marvin. of course neither felton or mccants will go earlier than top 5 or 6, but i really think both are gonna be outstanding.
