for the true essence of the game, there is nothing better than Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, New York (home of the baseball Hall of Fame).

A park is only as good as the product and the atmosphere surrounging the game. Wrigley and Fenway have the most character. I have heard a lot of good things about Camden Yards.

My own favorite experiences have been Yankee Stadium, in the bleachers, during a pennant race. I am not a Yankee fan, but that place rocked. You are screaming from the first pitch on.

You couldn't pay me to go to games regularly at Coors, Miller, PNC and Jacobs Field. I live in Seattle and I have turned down free tickets to go there this year. Bad baseball is not my idea of entertainment, even in a pristine ballpark with people sitting on their hands.

Whose editors?

Fenway Park has to be one of the worst places to actually take in a ball game. Aside from most of the extreme right and left field facing the outfield, the seats are very close together, and the place is just old and delapidated. It kills me to see people with the SAVE FENWAY PARK bumper sticker and/or shirt. They can have it.

found this interesting:

when i was reading some "favorites" of a lot of the indians players, i noticed that a large majority said that their favorite place to play was safeco in seattle. and that their least favorite park was fenway. im not a huge indians fan, but jacobs field is definitely one of the best places to take in a baseball game. as far as fenway goes, i think the fans like the park more than the players.

boston
as far as the history of the game..bla ..bla..bla ..fenway is a place to visit..
but the park is so far behind the times is ridiculous...seats are brutal...obstructed view...etc...

Boston really needs a new park...
