The last I heard is Larry Brown is still denying he has talked to the Cavs. He is known as a control freak, so all these leaks have to be killing him. He made his bed.

It should be a circus tonight. Brown would have been better off fessing up. I don't see anyway how this helps the Pistons, especially as they seemed pretty distracted the last two games.

As you say, you guys won a championship. Should be a nice job for someone else.

i know scott4usc will say it was the only reason he loses his det bet.

It might be one of the reasons. I have mixed emotions. I def. want Detroit to win the East but I think Spurs would have an easier time beating the Heat vs Pistons. I make huge profit with Spurs winning NBA Championship but get my money back (break even) if Detroit wins it all. That was one of my reasons for playing Detroit. I felt they were the best team in NBA (with Shaq not being 100%) and they were the one team I did not want Spurs playing in finals. Detroit at 5-1 was too much value to pass up.

Detroit let me down big losing game 3 but this series is far from over even with the Brown situation. Detroit last year and this year overcame adversity and seem to relish it. IMO Detroit losing games 2 and 3 has more to do with Detroit beating themselves than Miami beating Detroit. Detroit just needs to play with more intensity and stop playing out of their norm. (ie turnovers, missed free throws, etc.) History has repeatedly shown us Detroit steps up and makes adjustments when they face adversity!

So. Cal
do any of your teams ever lose or do they just beat themselves?

from my perspective, miami was in control of both games 2 and 3 for a majority of both games.....

a question for you....did sa beat phx in games 1-3 or did phx beat themselves?

I agree, Scott your teams have not always BEATEN THEMSELVES...just accept that a team stepped up their game and won, do you think Wade was allowed to score at will because Detroit was not being themselveS? FU*CK no, he did so because he is playing with the intensity to win that Detroit had LY, and is showing that it no longer has now

I gave Sonics all the credit in world beating and competing against Spurs. They played well after game 2 and people laughed at me when I said Sonics were very good team against Spurs. I said Spurs lost focus in games 3 and 4 on road (cost themselves with missed free throws in game 3 where they lost by 1pt) but games 5 and 6 Sonics still competed well with Spurs being focused. Suns have played well against Spurs but Spurs are a better team. I think Spurs cost themselves in game 4 when Duncan missed so many free throws. He was on fire coming into game and then all of a sudden tanked badly but that happens. So yes, I think Spurs cost themselves in game 4 but Suns played EXTREMELY well and Spurs play very good too. Prob. why it was a close game! I still think Amare Staudimire is getting major help from refs by charging his way to the hoop every time with his shoulder. That is illegal and not basketball yet he gets away with it and everyone marvels at it. I don't get it but that is a major flaw with the NBA.

I agree with you Miami was in control for most of the game in games 2 and 3. Detroit played poorly and in some areas it had nothing to do with Miami. I don't think anybody can dispute that. Games 2 and 3 were very tight yet Detroit played below par and some areas had nothing to do with Miami. So yes, I do think Detroit beat themselves.

This will not hurt the Piston this is a championship team. It may make them play a little hard to prove that. The timing of this is wrong. The player know this is a bussiness and he has to look out for himself for all we know he already told the team.
