When Ginobli broke long at the end of the game...
First I wanted him to go ahead and dunk it and get the points.
My question is-did anyone else think he travelled? I thought he caught the ball, then took 2 steps like he was going to dunk it and then started dribbling. Thats a walk. Glad they didn't call it though

Getting my kicks on Route 666
Good eye. Saw the replay this morning slowed down and I'm pretty sure he travelled but it would have been a gutsy call to make I guess as it wasn't real obvious. Detroit would have had the ball 5 down with 10.7 seconds left and no timeout, so still difficult to win but easily could have affected the spread.

That pass came from Horry who also took a charge and got an offensive rebound in the fourth quarter, all big plays. Horry really had a nice game. Trivia-either Horry or Steve Kerr have been on 11 of the past 12 championships. Edit: that trivia is what I read this morning. I haven't double checked it but it sounds good. :)

RIP travelled in 1q on fast break and there was no call. He missed layup Pistons got offensive rebound and scored 2pts. +2pts for Pistons on that blown call in 1q where it really meant something. Those are types of breaks Pistons got @Detroit and @SA (games 6/7)

Refs called Spurs for lane violation on Ginobili miss but it was BEN WALLACE foot that entered paint first, nobody on Spurs. Ginobili got rebound off missed free throw. Another obvious blown call. In game 6, Pistons got 2 offensive rebounds off missed free throws!!!! No mysterious lane violation.

Remember, these games were played @SA, not DETROIT!

I didn't have anything on this and only watched the 4th. I question that charge call on RIP right at the end. Horry was not inside the circle and sure seemed to be moving to me but RIP didn't really complain - but he had his head turned until the collision.

I did see Duncan take like 3 gigantic strides that covered huge territory before drawing a foul at the basket but then looked like he got ticky-tacked himself on at least 1 call.

Yeah, I just posted about the Ginobli walk, b/c it was right there at the end of the game and Pistons would have had an outside chance...not to mention the cover.
I do remember Hamilton's travel in the 1st and yes it gave them 2 points on the put-back.
I couldn't believe they called a charge on Hamilton at the end, but it could have gone either way. They called Barry for one earlier (when Barry got hurt) and that could have easily been a block.

Overall, not the best called game, but not bad. I'm glad they called it tight. Thats how basketball should be callled. Maybe just not that tight but better than all the grabbing and holding etc.
