What? no central air at your house? Its a cool and balmy 78 degrees here at my humble abode.... Too damn hot, aint it?
Supposed to break just in time for Blues Fest next weekend, though, which would be nice seeing as I'll have 25-30 people here Saturday morning for beer and brats before we head to Leclaire Park for a long day of killer blues...

No problemo getting Wheelers tix. They usually draw 5000+ at a 10000 seat arena. Tailgating before hand is OK, you can grill out, there are things for the kids to do and they have a band every week, I think.
Have only been to 4 Wheelers games since they've been here, tailgated once last year.

thanks for the wheelers info....glad to know selling out isn't a problem since it will be a last minute decision.

and no, no central air here at dad's house :( we have 3 window airs in right now, and it barely makes a dent in the heat this past couple of weeks......

saw a commercial the other day of something i'd never heard about tho, and i will probably be getting him central air before the end of the summer, since it can be done for a reasonable price (which we didn't think was possible) it's some sort of system called MrSlim (mrslim.com) where you don't need any duct work for central air......

ya know what tho.... as soon is i get it, it probably won't top 70 for the rest of the summer.....LOL

I'd love to be there, Mama, but Jaci and I always work the 1st shift of the Blues Fest in exchange for free admission and a T-shirt. This year that happens to be Friday night from 3:30-7:30 PM, and then some of the gang from out of town arrive Friday night, so we get the weekend of partying started early....:D

Meant to ask you what Little League Jr plays at; 30 years ago it woulda been me at that game on that very same field!

Hope they win! Just wait; in two years he will be playing on the all-star teams with the chance to go to Williamsport, and with the success of that little league has had in sending teams to the Little League World Series lately, I don't think its that big of a longshot, do you?

wooo hooooo... have fun friday night (i know you will) but if you have time to kill on thursday night come on over to diamond 1 it's only the semi finals that night, so hopefully will be a rout by Runge's!!!!

i only mentioned friday nights game (which isn't even guaranteed to happen with my sons team) cuz that will be the championship game....HOPEFULLY they will kick some butt on thursday night in order to make it there!!!

and hmmmmmmmm...i know which oneway to take a trip down on saturday morning in case i feel like a brat ;)

and yes, NWLL teams have been awsome lately as far as all star teams go!!!!! they were already radaring AJ's pitches this year for future year scouting for a lefty pitcher. :D
