Hopefully the President gets up there and tells the world just what you liberals want:

1. We lose because we are not tough

Actually it should read that if we lose it was due to piss poor planning by my administration that put our troops in harms way and we hold ourselves accountable for this terrible strategic error. Looking back on the invasion I have to admit that we lacked an exit plan and really had no idea on just how divided the sects of people in Iraq are and unfortunately we underestimated the resistance that would encounter out troops. What we really failed to address other than verifying that our data on the WMD's was correct, was that we failed to secure the borders once we invaded thus we have allowed terrorist to enter and exit the country at will.

2. We are cowards
Not all Americans are cowards but you would think that more of the radical right would be enlisting in the armed forces since they have so much support for the administration, but it looks like they support the war only if someone else fights it. I can see why some of the lower income folks are avoiding enlistment for reasons such as the American people were sold this war on false pretenses, the administration lacks a vision.

3. We will not fight back
Actually we were told by Cheney that our troops would be hailed as liberators and welcomed with open arms and that we would not have to fight back.

4. We will cater to terrorists
Well to the best of my knowledge their were few if any terrorist in Iraq before we went there, most of the terrorist hailed from Saudi Arabia, but we sure have created a training ground for terrorist in Iraq now.

5. We think the government's main responsibility is to provide for our every need/want and not to defend us.

I doubt that most people believe this to be true, but most Americans want a Govt that is honest with them and cares about their children's futures which is something the current administration fails to do. This administrations main objective is to spend unwisely and mortgage our future for short term benefits and to kiss the ass of big oil.

6. There is no reason to fight for what is right and defeat Islamofasciism.

While their is a reason to fight it's just that we have elected to enter the wrong country to take on radical Islamics as we should be taking care of business in Saudi Arabia and also cleaned up Afghanistan before entering a country that had no documented linkage to 9/11.

Hopefully, Bush will sack up and tell the truth tonight that we screwed up going into Iraq as we used false information and attacked a country that had no terrorist links and now we have created a situation of chaos that will fester for the next few decades and encourage even deeper hatred to-wards the US. We also error-ed by leaving Afghanistan too early since the Taliban is still in the area and democracy has had a very limited effect in the country as regional warlords still control a vast amount of the power.

Master Capper....I applaud your practicality on this issue...certainly you have spoken more truth than will ever come out of the mouth of a Bush.

The Bushies appear to be happy just fighting somewhere, with no strategy or solutions in place, everybody they shoot and every country attack must be evil, just because Massuh W. Bush said so, it must be true.

Just grab a rifle and hop the next plane to Iraq or wherever the bad dudes live.....kill all ten of them, and go back home unscathed like Stallone in a Rambo movie! :mj07:

Absolutely. That forum is f*cked up, yet it tries to position itself as some sort of 'leader' in the industry. It's hard to take when the owner of a site is a money-grubbing a*shole.

On another, more pleasant note, i'll be in Vegas from 7/14 to 7/18, if you can make it up there.

Jack will be there and several others from the forum also.

Stevie on your--
"At the very least Rumsfeld should be fired for either being an outright liar or the incompetent member of any cabinet in history. Back before we attacked he said he wasn't sure how long we would remain in Iraq. His quote was something like 5 days, 5 weeks, or 5 months. Five months! that was the top estimate this creep came up with. Now he is saying it might be 12 years! The guy should be fired and if the guy who should fire him won't fire him then he should be fired! You don't get to screw up like that."

You have once again fallen prey to liberal media spin.Grant both were quotes by him where the spin comes is his 1st statement was on occupying Iraq and over throwing Saddam (took 23 days) the 2nd statement was on the insurgency that followed>believe we have some more M Moore tactics, wouldn't you say?

and lets see what are liberal media is NOT reporting--

Congressional Comments Overlooked?

Tuesday, June 28, 2005

By Brit Hume

Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:

Congressional Democrats who reported favorably on conditions at Guantanamo Bay (search) after visiting over the weekend received almost no coverage in key mainstream media outlets. Oregon Senator Ron Wyden (search) said, "I feel very good" about prisoner treatment at Guantanamo, Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (search) said, "We have made progress [there]," and California Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher (search) insisted, "The Gitmo we saw today is not the Gitmo that we heard about even a few years ago."

Wyden's quote made The New York Times today... on page 19; the other remarks were left out. The Washington Post, meanwhile, hasn't reported any of it.

Numbers Up in Some Areas

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows that most Americans disapprove of how things are going in Iraq, but the president's numbers have actually gone up in what could be some key areas. According to the poll, 46 percent of Americans now say the war in Iraq was worth fighting, up 5 points from three weeks ago.

And a majority now says the war has contributed to the long-term security of the United States, also up 5 points from three weeks ago. In addition, slightly more Americans now say the U.S. is making good progress in Iraq, but most still disagree. Overall, a slight majority says things are going "badly" in Iraq.

Allen's "Not Interested in 9/11"

Filmmaker Woody Allen (search) says he's "not interested in 9/11" as an artistic subject because ? "it's too small, history overwhelms it." In an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, Allen says, "The history of the world is like: He kills me, I kill him, only with different cosmetics and different castings. So in 2001, some fanatics killed some Americans, and now some Americans are killing some Iraqis. ... And in my childhood, some Nazis killed Jews. ... Political questions, if you go back thousands of years, are ephemeral, not important. History is the same thing over and over again."

Columnist Not So Re?source?ful After All?

The Sacramento Bee (search) says it has now found 43 instances in which the sources ? and in many cases subjects ? of columns by Diana Griego Erwin (search) cannot be verified. For more than 12 years, Griego Erwin wrote emotional, abstract stories, many about a single person who overcomes adversity. But she resigned in May amid questions over her work.

And since then, the Bee discovered that dozens of the people she wrote about don't show up on voter registration rolls, property records, telephone books, identity databases, or Griego Erwin's phone records. The Bee's executive editor says it "kills us that we can't [verify her sources]."

Working on it. It's an awful time of the year for me (public accountant), but so far early February looks good. But, the past two years , prospective clients call us - we don't even have to look for them, so February is definitely a fluid situation.

I'll get there eventually. Would love to share a cocktail with both of you.

Rumsfeld said he didn't think we would be in Iraq more than 5 months. Just like Cheney said we would be welcomed as liberators. Both are lying sacks of crap and should be hung for treason for putting our soldiers in harm way for no good reason. I bet you won't hear that on Fox. 1700 deaths and an unknown number of quadriplegics not to mention 100,000 dead Iraqi's and they still don't have a clue. And for what?
