Want to do a two game chase in this doubleheader today, will take one team, if they lose game 1, will take them in game 2, if they win in game 1, im done. So that being said, what team would you take, Injuns to win 1 today or Tigers?

assuming Tribe take G1, I'm looking at Detroit for G2.
you got some trends in Det's favor---- such as teams (if fairly evenly matched) usually trade W/L on double headers, and teams have extra motivation to try and get win for a rookie's debut.
Also, Detroit is 10-4 this season in game 2 of a series after a loss (Tribe 10-7 after win)
HP ump Barksdale (assuming normal rotation of ump from 1st to HP, which doesn't always happen in double headers) is just 2-3 for the home favorite this season, if fave is -121 or greater (but 7-3 last season)

Have some on Tigers for 2nd game. Verlander was last years 2nd overeall pick, I think he'll do well in his debut.

Love Clev. in the 2nd game..... But profit is profit. Just spend a little on beers and enjoy the day and not worry about it.
I totally understand the split theory or playing the loser in game one to win the 2nd of a doubleheader, but I think anyone is crazy to even think about betting against the Tribe right now. They are a team clicking on all cylinders right now and if they get the lead, they usually keep the lead.....best bullpen out there. You're getting a lot of bang for the buck right now...especially with the offense which just keeps getting better and better and is hitting the cover off the ball right now...tough to play against them.
Don't know a lot about Detroit's starter, but he is jumping from Double A to the Majors which isn't going to help him. If he's relaxed he might be tough the first time or 2 around, but that's tough to tell yet. I do think Cleveland's starter Jason Davis could benefit from Barksdale behind the plate...seems like he gives the lower strike call and it should help him.
