Kansas City area for who knows how long....
I'm leaning toward Balt. Bost had long flight and Balt day off. Wells gave up 13 runs and 29 hits last 3 starts (about 16 innings) and Cabrera has been working on his mechanics with much success and has confidence now.

Francona letting starters go to hi pitch counts with rest coming up and horrible pen, but still don't see Wells going all that deep. Balt will bash that pen. These teams split 8 meetings this season.

terryray...good to see you...

im wary of totals right now..but the under may be the play here...

only 2 players in Balt line-up have a lifetime avg. over 270 vs wells tejada and marrero

and although cabrera has struggled vs Boston...only 2 players in sox line-up tonight have avg. over 270 vs him ..ortiz and bellhorn...

????...

Wells did pitch shutout against Baltimore earlier this season. I can't see where Boston run production will com from with Manny, tek, etc. out. Cora is a 200 hitter along with BellHorn Millar Stern, doesn't look good. Baltimore has to be hungry losing 11 of 13 or whatever it is. Birds give Sox fits anyway.

the gm of boston should be fired. anyone trading for alex cora is dumb as rocks. this guy blows at the plate. and hes not getting any better. above average defensively, but Bellhorns bat is 100 x better regardless of his strikeouts.

Dodger, Cora is up only as a utility infielder, Vasquez was terrible and injured. Boston had no utility middle inf help available. Cora is playing ss for Renteria, not 2b for Bellhorn

I understand that he is playing shortstop tonight for renteria, but that's only one game.

in the future he will be plugging the 2 base spot for bellhorn who is a liablity out there. but his bat is awful. and his defense has been average since leaving izturis in la. in cleveland he was nothing more than average. i guess if you bring him in for late inning defensive switches fine, but if he is some sort of permanent fill in for bellhorn than i think it is a big mistake.

just my 2cents gl to you

I think that is exactly what he will be, what you said, defensive replacement and periodic starter. Boston manager way to loyal to starters from last year to take Bellhorn out for extended play. We still can't get Olerud playing time at 1b and Millar is horrible 4hr from your 1b man. And Olerud is batting 400 in limited at bats former batting Champion with numerous gold gloves. BellHorn way to many ks, but he has 20 doubles and pops a occasional home r. Cora just going to be utility inf, hopefully better than Vasquez.

Have a great night
