Does anyone know how many people actually paid the full $10,000 to get in the tourney? I would doubt if it was a very high percentage.

And just say you played in a $100 satallite and won a seat, would you have to pay taxes on the value of that seat, or for that matter the value of the package they gave you?

not if u lost casue then u have a $10 k offset legit gambling loss, would still have to pay any taxes bases on the amount over $10k, so if the package was valued at $13k u will owe takes on 3k.

I read where less than 10% of the entrants bought in directly for the 10,000 but the top 2 finishers (Joesph Hachem , Steve Dannenmann) actually did buy in for the 10,000.
