This is pretty much what I have been saying for awhile now (applying to all Republicans no matter what age).......

GOP youth on possible Hillary bid: 'Great for us'

July 10, 2005

BY CHRISTINA ALMEIDA

LAS VEGAS -- Young Republicans have one thing to say to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton about a possible 2008 presidential bid: Bring it on.

Members attending the group's biennial convention said it's not too early to talk about how to keep a Republican in the White House, and they think Clinton could help them win again if she were on the Democratic ticket.

''I think it's very likely the senator from New York will run,'' said Rick Veenstra, 27, chairman of the Illinois Young Republicans. ''She'll bring a lot of people to the polls. The name Clinton before a number of Republicans is akin to waving a red flag.''

Convention guests attended several panels and training seminars Thursday, including one on how to mobilize young voters by ''keeping it positive, not partisan.'' They were told the only demographic President Bush lost to Sen. John Kerry in 2004 was the 18-to-29 group.

''This party cannot afford to allow that segment of the population to be Democrat,'' said Frank Fahrenkopf, former Republican National Committee chairman and Thursday's keynote speaker. ''This is where the Young Republicans can be of particular value.''

Many here said they would welcome Clinton's entrance because she is a polarizing figure. ''It would be absolutely great for us,'' said Michele Mester, 26, from Cleveland. ''She's like a PR nightmare.''

Several of the 600 Young Republicans gathered for the five-day convention mentioned former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and Arizona Sen. John McCain as potential presidential contenders.

Others suggested Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee.

I agree that Hillary is a polarizing figure but what do those young creeps think that Jeb, Frist and even Rice are?

I wonder what the creeps think of neo-socialist commies who want to give away the country?

Frist? Hell, bring on Newt!!!

Hillary is polarizing? Man, that's putting it lightly.

BTW, as I've said before I'm not Republican, but at least these kids have the common sense not to stray into the "Haskell Zone" :)

Hillary ripped for comparing Bush to Alfred E. Neuman

July 12, 2005

BY MARC HUMBERT

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Republicans took aim at Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday for a speech comparing President Bush to Mad magazine's freckle-faced, ''What, me worry?'' kid, Alfred E. Neuman.

A Republican National Committee official said the former first lady was ''part of today's angry and adrift Democrat Party,'' while a spokesman for one of her potential 2006 Senate rivals said she was guilty of ''insulting the president.''

''At a time when President Bush and most elected officials are focused on the security of our nation, Mrs. Clinton seems focused on taking partisan jabs and promoting her presidential campaign,'' added New York's GOP chairman, Stephen Minarik. ''Her priorities are clearly out of whack.''

Clinton's attack on the president came Sunday during a speech in Colorado.

Repeated remark

''I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington,'' Clinton said during the inaugural Aspen Ideas Festival, organized by the Aspen Institute, a non-partisan think tank.

The former first lady drew a laugh from the crowd when she described Bush's attitude toward tough issues with Neuman's catch phrase: ''What, me worry?''

It wasn't the first time that Clinton had likened Bush to the Mad kid. In April, she told New York Daily News reporters and editors, ''We're in a very dangerous fiscal situation, and this administration is Alfred E. Neuman -- what, me worry?''

As Clinton gears up for a Senate re-election race in New York next year and a possible White House presidential bid in 2008, her attacks on Bush have become sharper.

'Angry and adrift'

In her speech Sunday, she accused the president of damaging the economy by overspending while giving tax cuts to the rich, depriving U.S. soldiers of equipment needed to fight the war in Iraq and cutting funds for scientific research.

''Hillary Clinton's opportunistic attempt to market herself as a centrist is like a wolf dressing up in sheep's clothing,'' said RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt. ''Such thinly veiled rhetoric doesn't change the fact she is part of today's angry and adrift Democrat Party.''

Leading in polls

Thomas Basile, a spokesman for potential Senate challenger Edward Cox, a son-in-law of the late President Nixon, said while Clinton was ''busy insulting the president across the country, she is failing to produce the homeland security and transportation funding'' the state needs.

Clinton has been accusing the Bush administration of providing inadequate funding for New York's security needs.

While national polls show the former first lady to be leading the pack among potential 2008 Democratic presidential contenders, Clinton has said she is too wrapped up in her Senate work and re-election effort to think about that.

I think Hillary would defeat any member of the Bush family. As for others, I dunno.

I find it interesting though when the out of touch right seems more concerned about a possible opponent they can defeat in 4 years than they do about using those 4 years to fix the major srewups they caused in the previous 4 years.

I guess the Right will just need to figure out another distracting issue to keep the country distracted from the effects of the real issues again. What will it be next time? Taking advantage of empty patriotism and homophobia are always solid. But I think they may need to actually be a little more creative than that in 08.

I dunno, it just might work again.

Wouldn't Hillary's polarizing effect also drive many people to vote FOR her?

3/4 s would be a vast improvement for sure.

A little intellectual honesty and integrity would really help as well.

You know what . Hillary could win this election and there would one reason that she could.

There is a group of voters out there, that if they got the hankering could put HIlliary in office one two three.

Anyone know who that group would be ?

WOMAN

Alot of people in the US have got to think that she could break the woman never being able to be President. That would open the door for all the woman in the US who are eligible to one day be President.

And God knows that some of these past men have been not up to the levels of our best Presidents. Maybe its time to give a woman a chance is what they will be thinking.

All I can say is if they get a woman movement going to vote for Hillary. We are doomed fellows.

I think there are more eligible woman voters in the US than men. And the age group 18 - 25 could win it for her outright.

We may not have a man back in office until 2020

I fear nothing in politics.

Business (owned and payed for) been cranking +5 to 10 percent growth every year for the last 18. No kids. 6 more years and the mortgage is cleared.

Nothing is going to bother me.

That might be one of your most ill-informed statements in your tenure here at Madjacks. The extreme fundamentalists sects (youth) doing the goose-stepping are the Arab suicide bombers, not the Christians. I've never seen a post where you showed any disdain for that sort, though, just the Christians and conservatives.
