I am just wondering.

Of all of the folks that voted for BUSH...Do they still think he is doing a good job????

Do they really think he cares about IRAQS liberation or is this just a change of stories.

I think his falling poll approvals is cause he is pro-longing this IRAQ mission :banghead: and that noone believes this Mother Teresa Bull$hit that he is so concerned about IRAQI liberation. :jerkit: :bsflag :liar:

ALSO his harping on screwing old people with SOCIAL SECURITY... :nono:

i voted for bush only because of his stand on terrorism, with which i agree with........& have no confidence in any democrat in the post 9/11 world.

i do believe that he feels that if iraq successfully turns to some form of democracy, other middle eastern countries will do likewise. only time will tell if he is correct.i also think that his administration wanted to shake up the middle east because the status quo wasn't working.

although the polls may affect the 06 elections, i don't put much stock in these polls as i think much of the mass media is very much anti-bush & the news is grossly tilted against him.

i'm not concerned about anything else on his agenda.

Just my opinion, though do know a handful that voted for Bush, myself included, that are not too happy with his work. First problem was Dems choice to put Kerry into play. With the war in Iraq, a lot of people were scared to have Kerry as Commander in Chief. So even though they might not have been in W's camp on abortion, tax cuts, religion, border control, social security, etc. - they voted for W because of the war. I could be wrong, but I know some that fell in to that category. Bush seems to have dropped the ball since the election with his tilt toward the religious right and I think that makes many people nervous. Gas prices are a disaster and the economy is good for some, poor for others, though that is always the case. I find it hard to imagine, especially based on polls, that the majority of those who voted for Bush still strongly support his agenda.

Ditto with AR
How could you have leader that disses our troops--and every movement--wants to tie miltary's hands and give terrorists rights in this world today.

Ditto on media You have them whining about treatment of prisonors outside Cuba yet most including Dems that visit say things or fine--When have you ever heard anything about our gaurds there having to be issued face shield because they throw feces-urine and spit in their faces--how many know ou rguards have black out name tags because of threats from prisoners on their familys back home.
Economy no prob--especially in light of gas price and show me one country that has solution to gas price or way to control price of oil--ever hear of supply and demand.

Things I don't like was medicare bill--trying to bring too much to table after being re-elected. However he will be judged on outcome in Iraq and having 3 more years should be ample.

Where would be had Kerry won--Hell I still not sure if he voted for or against war--I do one thing GW don't use the windsock to make decisions and that is imperative in this day and time---
and MOST importantly the terrorist know it.

Too bad the Dems didn't have a more all-around respectable and likeable candidate. I thought Kerry would have at least been a legitimate leader though.

As gamblers, I'm sure we can all appreciate how you must own up to a lost bet and pay up. I feel as though Bush has gambled this country's resources and and crapped out. Instead of owning up, he blames it on trick dice or a shady dealer. He and his cronies have not been held accountable at al. He should have been punished with a resounding election day loss. But people will make excuses on his behalf forever. I don't like the way he gets a free pass on his (or his administrations) utter failures from Day 1.

9-11 was the greatest thing that could have happened to Bush. Without that event, he'd be nothing. It's ironic and sad that he gets so much room for error with our resources since that day. Enough room to to where he'll never have to admit a mistake for his entire reign.

"I think his falling poll approvals is cause he is pro-longing this IRAQ mission..."

Prolonging is the only way this can play out, considering that when he chose to employ a ground war and fight the insurgents by removing them piecemeal from the general public.....not saying he should have just levelled the place, but if you want to start democracy a precedent is having a country where the public is actually alive to vote.....levelling the whole country would just create a quiet sort of democracy, and piss off the rest of the arabs in the middle east more than they already are.....

Just like Vietnam, you don't know who the good guys are from the bad guys, and that's why this war is going to be a huge grind on resources and the opinion of the American public......

The insurgency has lasted as long as we've been there, two years and getting stronger, as witnessed by Abizaid's testimony of the amount of insurgents pouring in compared to a mere 6 months ago.

If the American people allow it to go on that far, this will play out until at least 2008, Dubya painted himself into a corner and his own personal exit strategy will be leaving office then......just pass the whole mess onto the next schmuck who, for whatever insane reason besides money, wants the office of the President of the United States and the problems he will inherit.

Until 2008, they have plenty of people willing to strap on a bomb and die to kill the "infidels" and meet up with 72 virgins, and we have a force of around 150,000 troops to keep plinking away at. I really don't see this playing out any different, if it was, the insurgency would be getting weaker and the number and strength of attacks would be lessening. Two years later it hasn't, against the premiere military force on the planet.

come on matt, you mean to tell me that harry truman (who was pres. when the bomb dropped) would fit into today's democratic party ?

all you have to do is look at joe lieberman......the dems have put him into the background.

no, with the pelosi's, kennedy's, dean's, etc. running the dem. party.....people like lieberman, or truman, if he was alive don't or would not fit into today's dem. party.........& that is why i'm no longer a democrat (independent).

and jt......do you really blame bush for the attack on 9/11 ?...it was in the wqorks years before....& with the way the fbi & cia were run there is no president who could have stopped it.

kosar quote:"The right just LOVES mischaracterize democrats as weak and portray themselves as tough."

i'm not on the right or left but i will repeat....the dems., as they are now........are weak !!!

Thank you AR182,

For pointing out how pathetic an individual Ted Kennedy really is. It is truly mind boggling to think this pig has been re-elected all these years.

Maybe Bush has made some mistakes but The scumbag from Massachusettes is not helping matters with his constant criticism.

He says something then says it another way. That gets folks confused. I voted for him first time. Thought we needed a change. I have said this many times before. Then he completely pissed me off going to Iraq and gave Saudi a free pass. Afgan I understood we had to go there. I believe his big problem was called the V P. He listen to him way to much. I could not vote for him a second time. And when what was pulled on Mc Cain in 2000 came out. That also helped me make up my mind. You talk about dirty politics.

AR is 100% correct about the S-qou...
The French(that is tough) gave the fledgling USA a Chance to become a free and Democratic society with their military help.. Will the Iraqi people see the same Light?

I chuckle, everyone says basically Bush sucks regarding religion, social security, borders, taxes, stem cell research, etc. etc., pretty much sucks regarding everything possible, but has this mystical misconception that he is a real tough guy. Where this comes from I have no idea, because he wears boots and comes from Texas?

Bush 41 I have plenty of respect for, the guy was a athlete and decorated war hero. Junior is nothing more than a pampered Rich kids Son. When the country called he coward and called for Dads help squirming out. This tough guy image kills me, I'd love to meet some guys that went to Yale in the 60' ' s. Dollars to doughnuts this guy was the consummate Rich Kid Daddy calling pussy. Probably was the fear of New Haven, think there is still stories of him kicking ass at TOADS PLACE. LOL LOL

Hmmm.....thats' funny. I thought Al Queda bombed the World Trade center in 1993. Who was president then? What was done about it? NOTHING!! Bill Clinton and Sandy Burger had Bin Laden in his crosshairs AT LEAST 3 TIMES and FAILED to take him out. He allowed Afghanistan to harbor him and plan new attacks UNDER CLINTON'S WATCH.

Also while Clinton was cheating on his wife and getting his pole sucked on, the 9/11 terrorists were attending FLIGHT SCHOOL IN AMERICA.

Why do the liberals never mention this?

Since you are so quick to blame Bush for 9/11 perhaps you would you like to debate me on this topic in a new thread???

:wall: JT??? Anyone??? Yoo Hoo...liberals???

Voted for Bush and will continue to Vote for Repubs untill the Dems wrestle back thier party from the Liberals . There is good reason that the southern states have suddenly turned red !

The last Supreme Court ruling on eminent domain was ridiculous ! the only ones to vote against it were the conservatives put in by the Bush's and Reagan.
