How can you make a team that has won 2 of 8 & 11 of 13 @ this price one of your big plays of the year ? Colo is Colo but they are playing better than Pitt right now. Francis has won 2 of the 9 games they won on the road & he is 5-4 @ night. If you are going to take a shot with a 2-8 team, why not get a price?

bryanz, good points here but you play the games you want to play, and ill play the games i want to play. i will also play them for as large as i want to play them. i do not need you to ask me questions of why i chose to play this. thats not what i posted it for. i will not change my mind from someone else who i do not even know tries to tell me certain things about trends.

colorado has an away record of 9-37. pittsburghs zach duke has 21 k's in 22 innings this year and has only given up 3 runs. it doesnt matter what they have won or lost as a team in the past 10 games, it doesnt matter if its night or day, grass, turf, who cares? i dont believe in trends like that.

I agree with everything you have said but there are more heads in the room than you and me. I would never try to change your mind on anything. I don't just go by trends and don't think it matters that duke has 21 k's in 22 in. It does matter that they have lost 5 st & looked like shit in 8 of 10 !!!!! This is an open form . I WILL TELL YOU WHY I POSTED THIS. IT'S FOR THE PEOPLE WITH AN OPEN MIND . Just food for the thought, nothing personal. My only point to you is ,If you are going to take a shot, why not pick a spot where there is more reward ? This was not intended as a heads up. The world is bigger than you and me, If you don't want discussion hang it on the frig. I posted this because I'm here for the money and plays like this are not money makers in the long run. where would be a spot with more reward? taking an underdog that pays out more? if thats what you mean, then it wouldnt be a big play for me, since a dog is intended not to win. i wouldnt make a big play on a dog. i would however, make a big play on a favorite that i really like and today happens to be the day i decided to make a big play. i dont need more reward. my reward for this play is even money and im satisfied with even money. if it loses, then ill have to pay more, but it wouldnt be my big play if i intended it to lose.

Dogs win 45 % of the time. Who says a dog is intended not to win ? If you or anyone else believes that you can't make a big play on a dog you shouldn't bet BB. If you lose your -170 , you need to win 2 times at that price to see black, If you had bet a dog or a pk your next bet would put you in the black. My point is you don't have to be to smart if you don't let the juice eat you up. You have to win 80 % of the time if you only make big play on favorites if your after the money.

I'm not looking at today. Look at the big picture . If this is a big shot,most of us have only a # of big shots, make it a good one, make it count & make it one you can recover from. YOU ARE NOT GETTING EVEN MONEY !!!!! I am trying to make a point and you don't get it. You have to change the way you think to bet BB and make money. The % are on your side,but many have jumped on high % plays, What if you lose, get better Value on your big plays so that you have a better chance to get it back if you should lose.

I am not trying to help you, I'm not giving you advice, I don't care if you win or lose today,I don't care if PITT wins. I talking about BB 101. If you bet 340 units to win 200 units & they lose. To get even you would have to bet 680 units at that price to show black. So now you have 1020 to win 400 .

I agree with the pick. But, also because of Right Side. I took the -1 1/2 and the -2 1/2.

I took it to win a smalll profit on just the win, and win big on a blowout. We're on the same team here guys. At least that's the way I look at it. It's not a competition among men, its a competition against THE MAN. Clean it up guys.

the points being made in this thread are the same everyone considers before they bet a game....of course over time betting dogs is a better proposition, but where do you bet em? when is a huge favorite a good bet? if someone has the aswer evertime, they'd be rich
