agent,

Here's a nice site that reports what casino's offer as far as poker goes. Just click on any casino on the left for a report. Keep in mind some of the reports are outdated. For example, the report for the Monte Carlo casino states that there's only a NL game offered on the weekends, but I was just out there last month and they had a $200 NL game going every single day.

Link should be ok with Jack, but if not I apologize.

Agent my wife & I stayed there 2-3 nites a couple of years ago. Rates were reasonable, clean rooms ( nothing special) seemed to me a big slot crowd. The tram connection is there. We usually stay at Treasure Island & reason is shopping mall is right next door for my wife.Enjoy

Very average rooms.

Service is about like all the rest of the large hotels. Really nothing special about the place. Buffet is good-never eaten at any of their restaurants, only 2x odds on craps, sports book is OK, lots of TV's but a little slow on service during the footbal season.

All in all, you could do worse, but if you're looking for some sort of "experience" you'll be disappointed.

Stay at the Aladdin top of the line service, huge resort and comps take 3-4 hours at 25 a hand in blackjack and you will be set for life with full comp, Just ask jack.

Always something going on have a huge mall and 4 clubs best buffet in Vegas 4 years in a row voted by lvrj and Vegas weekly. Not you normal buffet trust me. They also have tons of dinning places from top of the line to snack shops and anything in between.

They have a 7200+ state of the art preforming arts center with great shows and with Plant holltwoon and Starwoods owning them now they will be a top of the line player in shows not that they were low end anyway. the only reason they filed for protection was owner had no clue to a huge resort and casino and how to run it. Plant Hollywood is having a strip entrance built and then they will be at almost 99% room cap. have held steady at 96% occ rate since they opened the mega resort . Very clean and great service. ( out of 10 people who have stayed there and been comped come back and stay there each time the come to Vegas. After first full comp all you have to do is call them and say you want to come to Vegas and you will be comped for room before you ever get to Vegas then play some and will have your full comp.

Email Jack or ask kosar they can tell you. Jack is set for life there, and once you are in computer you will be also. Small sports book but plant hollywood is making it into 250 seats and will be better then it is now, but easy to make bets and not lot of people around you to crowd you carry all the games to watch for a mega resort once your foot is in the door they will treat you like a king anytime you come to Vegas. jack will tell you'

As for harrahs very fun place great location have live music at open bar all the time very clean, book is tight in space trying to get games in if you wait till last min but all books are like that can't figure out the people who wait 5 mins before game time then they bitch if they don't get bet down.

Rooms are good size and very clean and safe I like going there it is a fun place to hang in the day on a hot summer afternoon on the weekend. Lot better then the kiddie palace, They treat you good not great like some resorts but good. location is a nice point and so is room size it is fine in my book for fun like i said on a hot day and biggest thing i like is it's location. You won't be upset they tend to be tight on comps but have got better last few years.
Won't be upset if you stay there have had many friends stay there before Aladdin was ready and all enjoyed it, the biggest thing for those who I know that i sent there was location and it is very clean as all strip resorts should be but some are not at times.

If your looking for mega resort with endless things to do and easy full comp Aladdin just email jack he will stand behind them 100 percent. if you don't mind paying for room and great location then harrahs not a place like Aladdin where you can stay all day for 3 or 4 days in resort and get board but harrahs is not a megas resort either but still good size and at that time of year room rate should not be to high. Still don't like the way they take care of players, they have got better but still tight.

Either way or either place you can't go wrong just depends what your looking to do and get back.

Fletcher  glad to hear from you!!! First off hope all is well with you. Thank you Mover and Screamin. Was hopin you would drop in Eric. We are going out August 9, 10, 11. We need 3 rooms. We have reservations at Orleans currently as that is where my parents always stay. They like it. They said if I could get us comped somewhere else they would try it. Rooms at Orleans are 60 per night which includes some food. However the younger crowd IE myself, my cousin and my girlfriend want to do the strip. Harrahs in East Chicago sent me a comp for there so I called the one in Vegas and they said full comp for me but noone else. Im sure we can get comped anywhere if we do it right. My parents never even get cards to get comped? My Mom says if you get caught tipping someone they get in trouble :mj07: Anyway just trying to figure out what to do!!

Stayed at Harrahs last Jan. Was not impressed. Very avg. rooms. Did not comp very well and the waitress service left a lot to be desired. When I'm out of beer bring me another damnit. Shouldn't have to ask the pit boss to get me a waitress. :cursin:

I stayed at Harrahs once. Its a solid hotel...good casino...good sportsbook. Last few times in Vegas, I've gone with the wife...so looking for more luxurious hotels, nicer restaurants, etc.. But for old school Vegas entertainment, Harrahs is pretty solid.

Fletch,

I was there last week, and was rated for nine hours at $40 a play in craps/blackjack, and they only comped me first night free and then casino rate for the next two. They didn't pick up any of the meals I was hoping for, either. Perhaps I should've spent a little more time playing BJ than getting smoked at the craps table. Took their sportsbook for a ride, though.

That being said, I would HIGHLY recommend the Aladdin to anyone. Nice place, nice rooms, nice service, never too packed. I've stayed at six different places on various Vegas trips, and this was without a doubt the best place I've stayed. I went on Kosar's recommendation and wasn't disappointed.
