burnett is not going anywhere. florida will have a new manager before they get rid of burnett. he will sign a contract with the yanks after the season so he can sit on DL with his buddy pavano.

The hard-throwing Burnett intrigues a lot of clubs, but the Marlins are asking for a lot, and pushing teams to take all or most of disappointing 3B Mike Lowell's albatross contract off their hands in the process. That's why the Orioles have effectively dropped out of the bidding. But other teams are still calling.
