Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Orioles and Rockies exchanged outfielders Friday night with Eric Byrnes heading to Baltimore and Larry Bigbie going to Colorado.

Byrnes was acquired by the Rockies on July 14 from Oakland in a four-player deal. He is batting .249 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 74 games between the A's and Colorado this season. However, Byrnes struggled to a .189 batting average in 15 games for the Rockies.

Since making his major league debut in 2000, Byrnes has batted .267.

Bigbie, Baltimore's first-round pick in the 1999 draft, batted .248 with five homers and 21 RBI for the Orioles this year. In four-plus seasons with the Orioles, Bigbie has batted .271 with 31 home runs.
