heat wise shouldnt be a problem, rain may be an issue. did you want to stay right on walt disney's property??? you won't find one thats reasonable there. i'd suggest trying to find hotel/motels 15 minutes from the park. heard theres some decent deals. can't help ya anymore then that.

have a great time.

:)

Check Disneys ALL STAR resort...Lots of cool sports themed stuff, and basic rooms are less than $100/night I think !

Agreed.

Disney's All-Star Sports, Movies or Music and then Pop Century should be right at $100.00 per night per room. Get 2 rooms. Any 2 bedroom units will cost a minor fortune.

It's great you're staying a week. The "Magic Your Way" packages, where you can get a 7-day Hopper Pass for the 4 major theme parks, is heavily discounted because you're staying a week. Per day rates run around $60.00 per adult, if you bought the tickets separately. Since you're staying a week, the average price per day drops all the way down to around $28.50 per day. Pay $35.00 per person to add the Hopper feature and you're good to go.

I'm taking my family Sept. 11-18. We can't wait!
Historically, the week after Labor Day is very slow so less crowds!

Anymore questions, just ask. I know that place like the back of my hand.

BTW, I suggest the "Hoop-De-Doo" dinner show. Your 5 year old will love it and there's "all you can eat" chicken, ribs, beans, strawberry shortcake and beer/wine.

Have a blast!

Make sure you do a character breakfast for the 5 year old.

:iagree: That should be one of the things that you should make every attempt to do. Make your reservations in advance so you don't miss out. Have an autograph book before you go. You won't see many PO'ed kids there either, nothing but smiles from ear to ear. Have fun.

Hudson Valley area.....NY
Lowell,
Like Nole said the All Star Sports,Music and Movies is one of the most reasonable places.Every year our senior class picks a favorite school staff member and I've been picked the last 5 yrs.We have stayed at the above 3 every yr.
Ask when you book it to stay as close to the pool and cafeteria area as possible. Some of the rooms and building are pretty far away. After a long day in one of the parks you don't want to walk another mile to get to your room.Music has the nicest pool..good luck

Dude,

I own a timeshare in the Orange Lake community. You can rent from them for reasonable rates, it is literally less than 10 minutes down 192 to the Disney exit and then you are like 4 minutes away (so less than 15 minutes to the park).

Orange Lake is gorgeous. It has about 4-5 swimming pools situated all over the complex. They have a Publix right on the property where you can shop if you get a kitchenette and save a ton of money on eating out. Accomodations are awesome if you get a 2 bedroom villa. (Ask for a newer one in the East village). The master has a jacuzzi tub in it and there is another full bathroom for the other 2 adults. They are furnished with everything you need including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, blender (for the margaritas), etc. The complex has all types of sports activities like basketball hoops, tennis courts, swimming of course, bike trails, or just relax your sweet ass like I like to do.

If you golf there are 3 Golf courses on the property and 2 of them are Arnold Palmer designed. Very nice.

They sell discounted Disney tickets at the resort with hopper passes and options etc.

Highway 192 has 500 different restaurants within 10 minutes drive. Boston Lobster Feast is one of my favorites and has all you can eat maine lobster and steamers for less than 30 bucks plus 50 other items. Checkers is close (my favorite) which they don't have up here in Manchvegas New Hampshire, Golden Corral's and Ponderosa's up the ying yang and everything you can imagine

I look forward to my vacation there every April and I usually take a trip there in October as well but I spend that time at Clearwater Beach.

Good Luck in your quest..but for my money there is no substitute to this place if you want a great Disney experience.

Congrats lowell. I stayed at the Riverside location a few years ago. I remember watching the Patriots beat the Rams at their lounge. Had a few drinks cheering the Pats on with my Dad. Lots of Pats fans there.

Great idea adding the dining feature. You'll save some money for sure.

My family and I will be I'll be there Sept. 11-18. I'll look for you, or better yet, maybe you'll find me. I'll be the guy with the wife and 2 kids! :mj07:

Good location.

Have a great time!
