Going against a red hot team, the athletics.

22 year old jeremy bonderman is very quietly having a sensational season.you really dont hear much about this guy.

13-6 with a 3.95 era the league is hitting just .247 against him in 21 starts.

excellent road record 7-3 (3.78 era) average against on the road .224

rightys are hitting only .208 (wow) thats solid!

the kid seems to get stronger as the season goes on....

in july he is 4-1 (3.01 era) .217 against average

bonderman is 3-1 lifetime against the athletics
in 27 innings he has given up 5 earned runs

i am not going to talk or stat up on athletic pitcher kirk saarloos.
this play is all about jeremy bonderman.

THE BOOKS HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO MAKE THE TIGERS A DOG AGAINST THIS HOT TEAM.

BONDERMAN THROWS A MASTERPIECE SUNDAY :mj14:

not sure what his overall numbers are against oakland for his career, but i remember about 2 years ago when i made a ton of money backing him when he pitched against the a's as a big dog. it seems like he wants to stick it to oakland for giving up on him and trading him away early in his career. definitely seems to have a chip on his shoulder when he pitches against the a's. now thats hes starting to become a big time pitcher, the price is pretty low, but i still think its a solid play. will try to dig up those numbers.

From another perspective, umpire Marquez has seen Bonderman from behind the plate on one occasion. The result was an 8-0 shutout of the Royals last season. Marquez has been a "pitchers umpire" and that won't hurt this play a bit.

At +110 this play looks very solid.

No play for me but this is what I thought about when I looked at the line : The House has Oak at -115 (ML) , not a big vote of confidence but they make them a shot at 180 to cover the 1.5 (RL) ? There is to much premium here.

*()& it. I joined you, betting more against Saarloos than on Bonderman. Det doesn't believe it can win. Three hits in a row, end up with two out and a guy on first.

I said this was a funny line, what did we learn from this, this line was telling us something, the run line compared to the money line, any thoughts ?
